Tracey Ranieri Named
SUNYAC Women's Soccer Coach of the Year
Oneonta Women's Soccer Head Coach, Tracey Ranieri, has
been named Women's Soccer Coach of the Year for the State
University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC).
The award is voted on by the Conference Women's Soccer
Coaches and is given out annually at the conclusion of
the SUNYAC Championship. Head Coach Ranieri, is in her
eleventh season at Oneonta. She has coached the team to
four SUNYAC Women's Soccer Championships in the past five
years, including this year's third consecutive crown. Her
Red Dragons have won 35 straight SUNYAC regular season
conference games, with their last loss coming on
September 26, 1998 against Brockport. Oneonta has also
extended their SUNYAC overall winning streak to 36 games,
with their last loss coming in the 1998 championship game
against Plattsburgh.
Ranieri and the Oneonta Red Dragons will continue
their post-season play in the NCAA tournament this
weekend. Oneonta is currently 18-3 and finished
conference play with a perfect 10-0 record.
