October 23, 2000

Sanada Mujanovic (Centereach, NY/Centerecah HS) from Potsdam, has won the women's Player of the Week honor. Mujanovic, a freshman mid-fielder for the Oneonta Red Dragon's, scored three goals and contributed one assist. last week in Oneonta's wins over New Paltz (5-0) and Southampton (2-0). At the end of regular-season play, Mujanovich has five goals and three assists in conference action, and eight goals, three assists overall. Oneonta begins post-season play in the SUNYAC Championships Friday, October 27 at 11 am. The Championships are being played at the Hall of Fame Fields in Oneonta, NY.

October 16, 2000

Winning the women's Player of the Week honor is Oswego's Kathryn Stead (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa). Stead, a sophomore mid-fielder for the Lakers, scored two game-winning goals last week against Buffalo State and St. Lawrence. Stead scored the game winner against St. Lawrence in overtime to lead the Lakers to a 2-1 victory. In conference action, Stead helped the Lakers to defeat Fredonia 4-0, and Buffalo State 3-0. In conference statistics, Stead leads her team in total points with three goals, five assists for 11 points. Oswego is 6-3 in SUNYAC and 10-5 overall

October 9, 2000

Winning the women's Player of the Week honor is Oneonta's Megan McCoy (Bethpage, NY/Bethpage). The junior goalkeeper recorded three shutouts this past week and has a total of five in conference play, seven overall. Oneonta had three 1-0 wins this week, defeating Hamilton, Oswego, and Cortland. McCoy made some key saves against Cortland State to help Oneonta clinch the regular season SUNYAC crown for the second straight year. McCoy has 32 saves in SUNYAC play and only two goals against for a 0.29 goals-against-average. Oneonta is 9-0 in the conference and has won 24 straight SUNYAC regular season contests.

October 2, 2000

Winning the women's Player of the Week honor for the second consecutive week is Oneonta's Liz McGrail (Stamford, NY/Stamford). McGrail became Oneonta's all-time leading scorer for both men's and women's soccer after the Red Dragons defeated Buffalo State 11-2. The senior forward tallied three goals and one assist against Buffalo St. to break the Oneonta record that stood for 22 years. Liz also scored the two lone goals in Oneonta's 2-0 shutout against Fredonia. McGrail not only leads her team in scoring (12 goals, and 6 assists, for 30 points), but the SUNYAC as well with 10 goals, and three assists, for 23 points. Her record breaking career statistics include 52 goals, and 18 assists for 122 points. Oneonta remains undefeated in SUNYAC play with a record of 7-0.

September 25, 2000

Liz McGrail (Stamford, NY/Stamford) of Oneonta was selected as SUNYAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week. McGrail, a senior forward, has become the first female to reach and pass the 100 point mark in Oneonta State history with 108 career points. She had two goals and one assist this past weekend in Oneonta's win over Geneseo 3-1. McGrail leads the Red Dragons in scoring with five goals, two assists and 12 points. Oneonta remains undefeated in SUNYAC play (5-0) after winning all three of their SUNYAC games this past week.
