Patricia Jaeger
has been selected as the SUNYAC Player of the Week for women’s soccer after helping lead the Oneonta State Red Dragons to its sixth straight conference championship. Jaeger, who is a senior from Baldwin, N.Y., scored the final goal in a 3-0 victory against Cortland in the title game. Jaeger, a midfielder, was selected as the Most Valuable Player of this year’s tournament.

Oneonta senior defender Patricia Jaeger (Baldwin, NY/Baldwin) has been selected as the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 31. Jaeger came up from her defensive position to score the first two goals of the game in a 4-0 victory over cross-town rival Hartwick as the Red Dragons finished the season with a 17-1-1 overall record and a 10-0 SUNYAC mark.

Fredonia senior midfielder Katie Remus (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) has been selected as the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Soccer Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 24. Remus scored two goals, including the game-winner, in a 3-0 victory over Buffalo State. The four points moved Remus into second place on the all-time scoring list at Fredonia. She now has 56 career points.

SUNY Geneseo sophomore forward Emily Petraglia (Delmar, NY/Bethlehem) has been selected as the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 17. Petraglia was involved in six of eight Geneseo goals over the weekend as the Knights scored victories over Buffalo State and Fredonia both by 4-2 scores. Petraglia scored two goals against the Bengals and added three goals and an assist against the Blue Devils. She currenlty leads the Knights with 12 goals and 28 points as Geneseo moved into sixth place in the SUNYAC standings with the six-point weekend.

Cortland senior goalie Christa Windhorst (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) has been selected as the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Soccer Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 10. Windhorst allowed just one goal in two road games over the weekend with a shutout in a 0-0 tie with New Paltz and a 1-0 loss to Oneonta. She posted four saves against New Paltz and then stopped 15 shots against Oneonta. The one goal she surrendered stopped a shutout streak of 401 minutes 19 seconds. The shutout against New Paltz was her sixth of the season for the 6-5-2 Red Dragons.

New Paltz senior Maggie Fenton (East Meadow, NY/East Meadow) and Plattsburgh senior Kaleen McCool (Plattsburgh, NY/Peru) have been selected as the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Soccer Co-Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 3.

Fenton recorded consecutive shutouts with a 0-0 tie against Brockport and a 1-0 victory over Geneseo. She made 11 saves in each game and extended her shutout streak to 228 minutes and 48 seconds.

McCool was involved in all four Plattsburgh State goals with a goal and assist in a 2-0 victory over St. Lawrence on Wednesday and both goals in a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over SUNYIT on Saturday. She leads the Cardinals (8-3, 4-1) in goals (7), assists (4) and points (18).

September 27, 2004
Cortland's senior forward, Angela Bruno, (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) has been selected as the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending September 25. Bruno scored a goal in each of the two Red Dragon victories over the weekend. She scored the first goal in a 2-1 victory over Brockport and then knocked in the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over Geneseo. She is currently leading Cortland in points (14), goals (6) and game-winning goals (3) and has scored a goal in four straight games.

Plattsburgh State junior forward Gena Rosenbaum (Morrisonville, NY/Seton Catholic) has been selected as the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 19. Rosenbaum was involved in all three goals with two goals and an assist in a 3-1 victory over Geneseo on Friday and then scored the game-winning goal in a 3-0 win over Brockport on Saturday. She leads the Cardinals (5-2-0, 2-0-0) with five goals and 12 points and has scored four game-winning goals.

Oneonta's Patricia DiMichele (Centerreach, NY/Centerreach) and Oswego's Maureen Kasperek (Fulton, NY/G.Ray Bodley) have been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) co-players of the week for the week ending Sept. 12.

DiMichele, a sophomore forward, scored a goal and two assists in both games last week for the Red Dragons. She was involved in all three goals in the 3-0 victory over Virginia Wesleyan, ranked 5th in the country. She added a goal and two assists in the 9-0 victory over Muskingum as the Red Dragons captured the Mayor's Cup Championship. DiMichele was named the Tournament Offensive MVP.

Kasperek, a junior forward, scored Oswego's lone goal in a 4-1 loss to Union and netted two goals and one assist in a 3-0 victory over St. John Fisher. With her seven points this week, Kasperek becomes just the third player in Oswego history to break the 100-career points barrier. She now has 47 goals and 10 assists for 104 points in 43 career games.

September 6, 2004
Brockport freshman Ashley Ewin (Rochester, NY/Greece-Athena) has been selected as the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Soccer Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 5. Ewin started her collegiate career in grand fashion scoring both goals in a 2-0 victory over Keuka College and then figuring in the scoring in both goals of a 2-1 Golden Eagle victory over Carthage. She added a pair of assists in a 7-1 rout of Agnes Scott to finish the week with three goals and three assists for the 3-0 Golden Eagles.
