2002 ECAC Players of the Week
April 30, 2002 Player of the Week: Named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC)
Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week, Brooke VandeWalker scored 11
goals and handed out five assists in leading the State University
College at Cortland Red Dragons to the conference championship. VandeWalker
set a new SUNYAC tournament single-game record with 10 points in the
championship game victory over State University College at Geneseo.
The North Syracuse, New York native then tallied three goals and three
assists in a non-conference game with William Smith College. April 9, 2002 Player of the Week: State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's
Lacrosse Player of the Week Betsy Meldrim notched 15 goals and handed
out 11 assists in leading the State University College at Geneseo
Knights to a 4-0 record on the week, including three victories over
SUNYAC opponents. On the season Meldrim leads the Knights in scoring
with 19 goals, 12 assists for 31 points in five games. April 2, 2002 Goaltender of the Week: State University of New York Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse
Player of the Week, Trish Kesicki stopped 12 of 14 shots in the State
University College at Cortland Red Dragons' 11-2 victory over Hamilton
College. The Dix Hills, NY native recorded an .856 save percentage
for the nation's fifth ranked team.
