Michelle Gaufman, Cortland Senior Outside Hitter (Wantagh, NY/MacArthur)
Gaufman averaged 3.2 kills and 2.6 digs per set during five Cortland victories during the week. She opened the week on Wednesday with 13 kills in a 3-0 win at Oswego, in the process becoming Cortland's career kills leader (currently at 1,790). On Friday and Saturday, she was named to the all-tournament team at the Skidmore Invitational after helping Cortland share the tournament title with a 4-0 record. She totaled 20 kills and 12 digs in a five-set win over host Skidmore adn 14 kills in a sweep of Ramapo. Cortland has won 11 of its last 12 matches.

Kaitlin Erdmann, Fredonia Junior Middle Blocker (Randolph/Randolph)
Erdmann played a major role in Fredonia's undefeated week, including a 4-0 mark in Pool Play and a first place finish in the West. Over the week, Erdmann hit .500 and led the Blue Devils in kills with 49 and in blocks with 11. The performance included 20 kills, a .655 hitting percentage, and 8 digs in a 3-2 win against Penn State Behrend. She also had 11 kills and hit .500 in a 3-0 victory over Geneseo.

October 19

Stephanie Bova, New Paltz Senior Setter (Central Square/Central Square)
Bova led New Paltz to a 5-0 record on the week. The senior setter averaged more than 10 assists per game, had fifteen kills and compiled a .353 hitting percentage. In addition, Bova had 5 aces, 22 digs and 4 blocks on the week.

October 12

Kacy Boburka, Oneonta Freshman Outside Hitter (Binghamton/Chenango Valley)
Boburka set a new single-match record for kills with 26 against Ithaca. The previous record was 24 and was set in 1998. She averaged nearly four kills per game (3.94) and had a .370 hitting percentage in leading Oneonta to a 2-2 record at the Union College Interleague Challenge.

October 5

Brittany Lis, Fredonia Sophomore Setter (Lancaster/Lancaster)
Lis was named the Blue Devil Invitational's MVP as the Blue Devils finished 4-0 on the weekend. While leading the Fredonia offense, she averaged 3.6 digs/set and 0.7 aces/set over the week including a 19 dig performance against Nazareth and a 16 dig effort during a 3-1 victory over St. John Fisher. While defeating Ithaca in the tournament championship game Saturday, Lis had 46 assists, 14 digs, and 5 aces to lead her team to the tournament title.

September 28

Alyssa Fitchette, Brockport Senior Middle Blocker (Watertown\Watertown)
In SUNYAC Pool Play, Fitchette had a career high 26 kills in a win against Fredonia and 92 kills on the week. The senior's 26 kills in the match were the most by a Golden Eagle since 2002. Brockport was the only team to go 4-0 in pool play over the weekend.

September 21

Brittany Coyle, New Paltz Senior Middle Hitter (Middletown/Minisink Valley)
Coyle was named tournament MVP of the Hawk Invitational. She helped the Hawks go 5-0 on the week, winning the Hawk Invitational for the sixth straight year.

September 14

Susan Bodkin, Plattsburgh Senior Setter (Rockville Centre/South Side)
Bodkin helped the Cardinals take three of four matches at the Panther Invitational in Old Westbury, playing an all-around game that saw her lead her team in assists, aces and second in digs. She also had 4 kills, 25 assists, 2 aces and 15 digs against Division II Saint Michael's.

Co-Players of the Week

Alyssa Fitchette, Brockport Senior Middle Blocker (Watertown/Watertown)
Fitchette finished the week with a .487 hit percentage and nearly 10 kills per match. She also recorded 17 blocks to lead the Golden Eagles.

Sarah Zureck, Fredonia Sophomore Libero (Lancaster/St. Mary's)
Zureck averaged 5.3 digs per set while Fredonia went 2-2 and finished third out of twelve teams at the Red Dragon Classic. Her efforts included a 29 dig (9.7 per set) performance in a three set loss to NAIA DII Daemen. She also included 22 digs in a 3-1 win against SUNYAC opponent Cortland.
