SUNY Cortland senior setter Jamie McMullen (Castile, NY/Letchworth)
has been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference
(SUNYAC) Women's Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending
Nov. 2. McMullen was named to the New York State Women's Collegiate
Athletic Association (NYSWCAA) all-tournament team as she helped the
40-2 Red Dragons finish third in the 12-team field. She nearly posted
a "triple-double" in a 3-1 loss to Nazareth, finishing with
10 kills, 35 assists and nine digs. She recorded eight kills, 39 assists
and seven digs in a 3-0 win over Ithaca in the third-place match.
In four matches during the week, McMullen had a .440 hitting percentage
and averaged 10.69 assists and 2.6 digs per game. She leads the SUNYAC
this season with 10.94 assists per game.

SUNY Fredonia senior middle hitter Liz Geist (Alden, NY/Alden)
has been selected as the State University of New York Athletic Conference
(SUNYAC) Women's Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending
Oct. 26. It is the second time Geist has received the award this season
(9/22). Geist averaged team-highs of 2.8 kills and 1.2 blocks per
game and recorded a .398 hitting percentage in four Fredonia victories.
She had 19 kills and 10 blocks in a 3-2 win over Geneseo, 13 kills
and four blocks in a 3-1 victory versus Oswego and 12 kills, and five
blocks and eight digs in a 3-2 win against Buffalo State. Geist's
10 blocks versus Geneseo is her second double-figure effort in that
category this season. She is currently ranked third in the conference
with 1.21 blocks per game. The Blue Devils captured the SUNYAC West
title with an 8-0 record and will receive a bye into the SUNYAC tournament
semifinals. The conference tournament will be held on Nov. 7-8 at
SUNY Cortland.

Oneonta senior setter/outside hitter Lacey Musso (Wading River,
NY/Shoreham-Wading River) has been named the State University
of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Volleyball Player
of the Week for all games ending Oct. 19. Musso was selected as the
Most Valuable Player of the Oswego Invitational, leading the Red Dragons
to a 4-0 record and the tournament title. She recorded a "triple-double"
of 11 kills, 24 assists and 11 digs in a 3-1 win over RIT, the second-rated
team in the New York State Women's Collegiate Athletic Association
Oct. 14 rankings. She also registered 34 assists, 19 digs and eight
kills in a 3-1 win over Clarkson. She totaled 102 assists, 30 kills
and 47 digs in four matches. The Red Dragons are 20-11 overall, 4-1
in SUNYAC play, and have won 16 of their last 17 matches.

SUNY Cortland senior outside hitter Andrea Smith (San Diego,
CA/Frontier Central (NY) has been named the SUNYAC Women's Volleyball
Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 12. Smith was named the
Most Valuable Player at the Cortland Invitational last weekend, leading
the Red Dragons to a 4-0 record and the tournament title. She recorded
15 kills, a .481 attack percentage and 17 digs in a 3-0 win over Ithaca
College, 13 kills and nine digs in a 3-0 victory versus Moravian College
and 10 kills, 22 digs and three blocks in a 3-2 win over Western Connecticut
State. She hit .347 for the tournament with 41 kills, 51 digs and
four blocks in 12 games. Cortland extended its school-record winning
streak to 27 straight matches with the wins. The Red Dragons are 27-1
overall and 5-0 in SUNYAC East play.

SUNY New Paltz senior setter Jennifer Hollis (Livingston, NJ/Livingston)
has been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference
(SUNYAC) Women's Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending
Oct. 5. Hollis averaged 9.3 assists, 3.4 digs and hit .440 in a 2-1
week for the Hawks. She recorded double-doubles in all three matches,
finishing with 39 assists and 12 digs in a 3-0 win over Southampton,
29 assists and 11 digs in a 3-0 win versus Dominican and 25 assists
and 11 digs in a 3-1 loss to Vassar. New Paltz is currently 11-14
overall and 3-2 in the SUNYAC East Division.

Brockport senior setter Lyndsey Celeste (Clarence, NY/Clarence)
has been chosen as the State University of New York Athletic Conference
(SUNYAC) Women's Volleyball Player of the Week for games through Sept.
28. Celeste recorded 179 assists in five matches during a 3-2
week for the Golden Eagles. She averaged 10.5 assists per game, more
than two assists per game over her season average. She also totaled
52 digs, eight blocks and 18 kills. She finished with 44 assists (11
per game) in 3-1 wins over both Buffalo State and Oswego at the SUNYAC
West Division Round Robin in Oswego. She also had 34 assists in a
3-0 loss to Fredonia. The Golden Eagles are 14-8 overall and 3-1 in
SUNYAC West play.

Fredonia senior middle hitter Liz Geist (Alden, NY/Alden)
has been chosen as the State University of New York Athletic Conference
(SUNYAC) women's volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending
Sept. 21. Geist recorded 50 kills, 34 digs and 28 blocks in five matches
for the Blue Devils last week. She averaged 2.6 kills and 1.5 blocks
per game and finished with a .333 attack percentage in 19 games played.
In a 3-1 win over Brockport, Geist recorded a "triple-double"
of 10 kills, 12 digs and 10 blocks. She also registered 18 kills in
a 3-2 loss at St. John Fisher and had seven blocks in a 3-1 win over
Buffalo State. Fredonia finished the week with a 3-2 record and is
10-4 on the season.

Cortland outside hitter Andrea Smith (San Diego, CA/Frontier
Central (NY)) has been chosen as the State University of New York
Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) women's volleyball Player of the Week
for games ending September 14. Smith was named the Most Valuable Player
at the University of Scranton Invitational as she helped the Red Dragons
post a 4-0 record and win the tournament title. She recorded 50 kills,
50 digs, and a .415 attack percentage in 13 games played. In the semifinals
versus Franklin and Marshall, she registered 18 kills, 13 digs and
a .552 attack percentage. She amassed 19 kills and 12 digs and hit
a .444 clip in the championship match versus Scranton. Cortland is
11-1 this fall and has won 11 straight matches.

The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC)
has announced Oswego's Erin Hanlon (Fulton/G. Ray Bodley) as
the SUNYAC Player of the Week for the week ending September 7. Hanlon
averaged 4.7 kills and 4.6 digs per game and recorded 10 aces in four
matches for the Lakers at Ithaca College's Bomber Invitational. In
a five-game win over Skidmore, Hanlon registered 30 kills, 26 digs
and eight aces. She also recorded 12 kills and 23 digs in a loss to
Ithaca and had 14 kills and 12 digs in a loss to Concordia-Moorhead.
She finished the tournament with 66 kills and 65 digs.
