New Paltz Hawks have claimed the 2002 State University of New York Athletic
Conference (SUNYAC) Women’s Tennis Championship held this weekend at the
Eastside Racquet Club in

doubles action, the New Paltz duo of Kerry
Farrell (Rockville Center/South Shore) and Rebecca Sparacin defeated
Megan Crevoiserat and Sophie Giret (Paris, France/Celsa Paris IV Shorbonne) teamed up to give New Paltz the second doubles championship by defeating Oneonta’s Catherine Lodico and Cordea Twiggs (Latham/Shaker) 6-3, 6-2. Geneseo’s Kelli Christopher (Skaneateles/Skaneateles) and Nicole King ended the Hawks doubles winning streak by defeating Diana Lemanski (Babylon/Babylon) and Jessica Smith (Newport News, VA/Vernon-Vernona-Sherrill) 6-2, 6-2, to claim the third doubles championship.
