February 16
MEN'S SWIMMING
Dan Evans (Hamburg/Hamburg), Cortland junior
Evans was named the SUNYAC Championship meet's Outstanding Male Swimmer for his performances this past weekend. Evans swam on the wining 200 Freestyle Relay, won the 50 Free, was on the second place 400 Medley Relay, won the 200 Free, was on the second place 800 Free Relay, and on the second place 400 Free Relay.

WOMEN'S SWIMMING
Michelle Rodriguez (Yorktown Heights/Yorktown), Geneseo sophomore
Rodriguez was named the SUNYAC Championship meet's Outstanding Female Swimmer. She won the 500 Free, was on the winning 400 Medley Relay, the winning 200 Medley Relay, won the 200 Free, on the winning 800 Free Relay, won the 100 Free, and was on the winning 400 Free Relay team.

MEN'S DIVING
Nathan LaRowe (Latham/Shaker), Potsdam junior
LaRowe captured both the one meter and three meter springboard events at the SUNYAC Swimming and Diving Championships this past weekend. He scored a 504.80 on the one meter and a 552.70 on the three meter, breaking both the SUNYAC Conference and Championship meet records. For his performance, LaRowe was named the meet's Outstanding Male Diver.

WOMEN'S DIVING
Kelly Sponholz (Alden/Alden), Fredonia senior
Sponholz closed out her SUNYAC career with a perfect record in the conference championships diving, capturing once again both the one meter and three meter springboard events. She scored a 543.80 on the three meter board, breaking her own conference and championship meet records. On the one meter board, she scored a 471.95, also breaking her own records. Sponholz was named the meet's Outstanding Female Diver.

February 9

MEN'S DIVING
Dan Brigano (Utica/Proctor), Brockport junior
Brigano won the 3-meter event with a season best score of 270.75 while also taking second place in the 1-meter event with a score of 256.10 in the team's final dual meet of the season last Wednesday at RIT.

WOMEN'S DIVING
Maria Quagliana (Brockport/Brockport), Brockport sophomore

Quagliana scored a 234.50 in winning the 1-meter event as she outscored the second place diver by 25 points.

February 2
MEN'S SWIMMING
Dan Evans (Hamburg/Hamburg), Cortland junior
Junior Dan Evans won the 200-yard freestyle (1:44.40) and the 100-yard freestyle (46.92) in Cortland's 116-89 dual-meet victory at New Paltz Saturday. Evans also anchored the Red Dragons' winning 200-yard medley relay with a 50-yard freestyle leg in 20.69 seconds. Cortland finished the dual-meet season with an 11-2 record.

WOMEN'S SWIMMING
Alex Dockstader (Tonawanda/Kenmore West), Geneseo freshman
Geneseo's Alex Dockstader, a freshman, won three events and participated on one winning relay to lead Geneseo to a dual meet win over Oswego. She won the 50-yard freestyle (24.95), the 100 freestyle (54.36), the 200 IM (2:13.66) and led off the winning 200-yard medley relay in 1:51.93.

MEN'S DIVING
Mike Martinez (Nanuet/Monroe-Woodbury), Oneonta junior
SUNY Oneonta junior Mike Martinez won the 1-meter event in a dual meet this past Friday against Brockport setting a school and pool record in his 6-dive round (283.90). He nearly missed breaking the 1-meter, 11 dive school record in that meet that was set over 30 years ago. He then reset the school record in the final dual meet against Hartwick in the 6-dive round (304.55), winning that round as well. Both of his 1-meter scores were NCAA provisional marks.

WOMEN'S DIVING
Eileen McMahon (Clay/Clay), Oswego, junior

Oswego junior Eileen McMahon posted a pair of NCAA Division III qualifying scores in winning the one-meter (246.20 points) and three-meter (269.20 points) springboards in dual-meet action vs. SUNY Geneseo. She was the lone multiple-event winner for the Lakers, who had their undefeated season halted by the defending SUNYAC champion Blue Knights, 157-140.

January 26
MEN'S SWIMMING
Nate Foley (Slingerlands/Bethlehem), Geneseo freshman
Geneseo freshman Nate Foley helped the Blue Wave extend their dual meet win streak to 30 and snap #25 Alfred's dual streak at 28 with a 125-118 win. Foley won the 1,000-yard freestyle in 9:51.17 and the 500-yard freestyle in 4:49.67. Geneseo is 10-0 in dual meets this season.

WOMEN'S SWIMMING
Christine Rieth (Penfield/Webster Schroeder), New Paltz sophomore
New Paltz sophomore Christine Rieth anchored the winning 200-medley relay (1:53.72) with time of 24.34 against Stevens and she posted two second places finishes in the 50 Free (25.43) and 100 Free (54.92). At the RPI Invitational, Rieth was the only competitor to win two individual events on the day as the Hawks finished second out of six teams. She captured the 200 Free in a time of 2:00.15 and won the 100 Free in a time of 54.74. Rieth also helped the 400-medley relay team to a victory in a time of 4:08.29.

MEN'S DIVING
Christian Torres (Dunkirk/Dunkirk), Fredonia junior
Fredonia junior Christian Torres was victorious 3x in 2 meets against Brockport and Hartwick colleges. His 2 wins against Hartwick were provisional qualifying scores. His 311.65 in the 1-meter was a pool record at Hartwick and also a Blue Devil school record, previously held by 3 time All American Scott Horsington. He also scored 281.70 on the 3-meter. On Wed, he scored another provisional score on 1 meter 275.20

WOMEN'S DIVING
Kelly Sponholz (Alden/Alden), Fredonia senior

Fredonia senior Kelly Sponholz won all 4 diving events against Brockport on Wed. the 20th and Hartwick Colleges on Saturday. All 4 scores were NCAA provisional qualifying standards. The 2 wins at Hartwick were new pool records of 279.95 in the 1 meter and 301.10 in 3 meter.

January 19
MEN'S SWIMMING
Dan Callahan (Brewster/Brewster), Potsdam freshman
Callahan had six wins this weekend, three each against St. Lawrence University and Oswego. Against St. Lawrence, Callahan placed first in the 50 free (22.3), the 100 free (59.91) and was part of the winning 200 free relay (1:33:06). Against Oswego, he won the 100 free (50.07), the 200 free (1:51) and was part of the winning 400 free relay (3:25.61).

WOMEN'S SWIMMING
Michelle Rodriguez Yorktown Heights/Yorktown), Geneseo sophomore
Rodriguez won the 100 free (54.09), the 200 free (1:57.34) and the 500 free (5:16.82) in a 143-117 meet win over New Paltz. She also won the 50 free 924.83), was second in the 200 back (2:15.67) and anchored the winning 200 free relay team in wins over MCC and RIT.

MEN'S DIVING
Nathan LaRowe (Latham/Shaker), Potsdam junior
LaRowe had back to back wins in both the one meter and three meter events. Against St. Lawrence on Friday, he won the one meter and three meter boards with identical scores of 289.5. Against Oswego on Saturday, he won the one meter board with a score of 301.55 and the three meter board with a score of 310.25.

WOMEN'S DIVING
Sierra Langkammerer (Fayetteville/Fayetteville-Manlius), Potsdam freshman

Langkammerer picked up three diving wins last weekend as she won two events in Friday's meet with St. Lawrence. She won the one-meter with a score of 188.35 and the three-meter with a score of 175.55. On Saturday she won the three-meter against Oswego with a score of 207.

January 12
MEN'S SWIMMING
Drew Hilker (Ithaca/Ithaca), Cortland senior
Drew won the 100-yard freestyle (48.17) and the 100-yard butterfly (53.29) in Cortland's 173-127 dual-meet victory at the University of Rochester on Friday. He also swam the butterfly leg on Cortland's winning 400-yard medley relay and anchored the Red Dragons' winning 400-yard freestyle relay.

WOMEN'S SWIMMING
Taylor Houseman (Wellsville/Wellsville), Cortland junior
Taylor won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:10.82) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:34.39) as Cortland defeated the University of Rochester, 151-149, in a dual meet on the road Friday. She also swam the breaststroke leg in Cortland's winning 400-yard medley relay effort.

December 15
MEN'S SWIMMING
Dan Evans (Hamburg/Hamburg), Cortland junior
Evans won the 50 yard freestyle (21.79), the 100 yard freestyle (47.33) and anchored the winning 200 yard medley relay team (1:42.86) in Cortland's 136-81 dual meet win over Oneonta.

WOMEN'S SWIMMING
Liz Neddo (Syracuse/Fowler), Cortland sophomore
Neddo captured the win in the 1000 yard freestyle (11:19.76) and the 100 yard butterfly (1:03.21) in a 118-114 win over Oneonta in a dual meet.

MEN'S DIVING
Christian Torres (Dunkirk/Dunkirk), Fredonia junior
Torres was a double winner at the Gannon meet, winning both the one meter board (238.15) and the three meter board (257.3).

WOMEN'S DIVING
Kelly Sponholz (Alden/Alden), Fredonia senior

Sponholz set pool records on the way to winning both board events, scoring 247 on the one meter board and 283.5 on the three meter board.

December 8
MEN'S SWIMMING
Mike Seay Grand Island/Grand Island), Fredonia junior
Seay was a six time winner during the Blue Devil Invite. He was a part of three winning relays and won three individual events: the 200 IM (2:00.89), the 100 Breaststroke (1:01.57) and he broke the 23-year old Fredonia 200 breaststroke record at 2:17.05.

WOMEN'S SWIMMING
Alex Dockstader (Tonawanda/Kenmore West), Geneseo freshman

Dockstader led Geneseo to the team title at the ECAC Division III Winter Championships by winning the 200 backstroke in an NCAA provisional and school record time of 2:08.35. She participated on the winning 200 and 400 medley relays and aided the winning 800 freestyle relay to an ECAC meet record time. Geneseo won the team championship over 10 participating schools.

MEN'S DIVING
Dan Brigano (Utica/Proctor), Brockport junior
Brigano scored a 480.90 on the 1 meter board, which provisionally qualified him for the NCAA Championships and also broke the school record in the event at Utica College

WOMEN'S DIVING
Kelly Sponholz (Alden/Alden), Fredonia senior

Sponholz won both the 1 meter and 3 meter boards. She broke the 3 meter pool record with a score 506.50 and also won the 1 meter event with a score of 436.90. Both scores are NCAA provisional qualifying scores.

November 24
MEN'S SWIMMING
Stephen Cozzolongo (Burlington, Conn./Lewis Mills), New Paltz junior
Cozzolongo won the 200 IM (2:05.01) and the 100 butterfly (55.4), while being part of the winning 400 yard medley relay team (3:44.59). This is the second week in a row Cozzolongo has received swimmer of the week honors.

WOMEN'S SWIMMING
Nicole Dean (Lansing/Lansing), Oswego sophomore

Dean set a pool and school record in capturing the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:56.92, surpassing the old school record of 1:57.33. Dean also won the 500-yard freestyle (5:17.37). She swam exhibition in the 200-yard individual medley, but posted the best time of all competitors for the event (2:18.65).

MEN'S DIVING
Dan Brigano (Utica/Proctor), Brockport junior
Brigano scored a 236.25 to win the one meter diving event in a dual meet versus Oswego. He also scored a 235.25 in the three meter board event.

WOMEN'S DIVING
Kelly Young (Hamburg/Frontier), Buffalo State freshman

Young was a double winner at the North Country Invitational. She scored a 217.55 in the three meter event, and a 239.10 in the one meter event.

November 20
MEN'S SWIMMING
Stephen Cozzolongo (Burlington, Conn./Lewis Mills), New Paltz junior
Cozzolongo won the 100 backstroke (55.17) and 200 backstroke (2:02.02), while finishing second in the 200 IM (2:05.35).

WOMEN'S SWIMMING
Jen Conklin (Watkins Glen/Watkins Glen), Brockport sophomore

Conklin scored first-place points in three events for Brockport against Potsdam. She won the 200-yard IM in 2:25.90 and took first in the 200-yard breast with a time of 2:44.23 and then was a member of the winning 400-yard freestyle relay as the team took first with a time of 3:57.94.

MEN'S DIVING
Shawn Merlin (Palmyra/Palmyra), Oswego sophomore
Merlin remained unbeaten in four dual meets on the three-meter springboard, winning the event with a score of 257.55 points as the Lakers defeated Upstate NY junior college powerhouse Monroe Community College, 126-108.

WOMEN'S DIVING
Maria Quagliana (Brockport/Brockport), Brockport sophomore

Quagliana won both the 1 and 3-meter diving events in a dual with SUNY Potsdam Saturday and has placed first in each of the four meets this season with duals against Wells and Nazareth and at the Geneseo Invitational (a five-team meet). Her scores against Potsdam were 206.90 in the 1-meter and 209.65 in the 3-meter event.
