April 27
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Brooke Weidman (Perkinsville/Wayland-Cohocton), Cortland, sophomore, outfield
Weidman hit .562 (9 of 16) with four doubles and six runs scored in a 5-1 week for Cortland as the Red Dragons clinched the SUNYAC regular season title with a 19-1 conference record. She added two RBIs and a stolen base.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Nicole Sabuda (Orchard Park/Orchard Park), Buffalo State, senior
Sabuda had a 3-0 week with wins over Brockport, Oneonta and Ithaca, posting a 0.67 ERA with 18 strikeouts. She tossed a four-hit shutout in a 2-0 win over Ithaca.

April 20
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Marissa Mariano (Williamsville/Mt. St. Mary), Buffalo State senior designated pitcher/catcher
Mariano hit .435 (10 of 23) with two doubles, two homers and 10 RBIs to pace the Bengals to a 7-1 week, including conference sweeps of Fredonia, Potsdam and Plattsburgh and a split against nationally-ranked Rochester.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Stephanie Geer (Binghamton/Seton Catholic), Brockport, sophomore
Geer went 3-1 for the week including a win against nationally-ranked Cortland. In 28 innings pitched, she had 39 strikeouts, including a school record 16-strikeout performance in a 2-1 win against Oswego. She also hurled her second career no-hitter in a 1-0 victory over Plattsburgh.

April 13
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Dana Vollmuth (Great River/East Islip), Potsdam sophomore catcher
Vollmuth hit .500 for the week, going 12 for 24 in eight games, adding two home runs and seven RBIs. She also had six runs scored and a stolen base.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Bri Allen (Rochester/Aquinas Institute), Plattsburgh freshman
Allen went 4-0 for the week with a 0.66 ERA and 23 strikeouts in 21 innings. The opposition registered just 15 hits with a .190 batting average. She hurled complete game shutouts against St. Lawrence and Oneonta.


April 6
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Justine Scutaro - New Paltz - 3rd/DP
Junior (Shoreham/Shoreham-Wading River)
Scutaro hit .533 (8 of 15) and had eight RBIs in a 3-3 week for the Hawks. She went 4 for 5 with three doubles and three RBIs in a 6-5 win against Buffalo State, and then added a grand slam in an 8-7 loss in the second half of the twin bill.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Janine Montera - Geneseo
Sophomore (Deer Park/Our Lady of Mercy)
Montera picked up a pair of wins in SUNYAC play, allowing just one unearned run in 15 innings of work. She allowed just two hits and struck out eight in an eight-inning 3-0 win at Buffalo State on Tuesday, and then threw another two-hitter with five strikeouts in a 2-1 win against Plattsburgh on Sunday.

March 30
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ona Halladay - Brockport - Infield
Junior (Palmyra/Our Lady of Mercy)
Halladay led Brockport to a 3-1 start in SUNYAC play with a pair of wins over New Paltz and a split at Oneonta. She was 9 of 13 at the plate, hitting .692 with a double and four RBIs. She had at least one hit in all four games and was 3 for 3 twice.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Katie Finch - Cortland
Junior (Amsterdam/Broadalbin-Perth)
Finch earned a win and a save in Cortland's home doubleheader sweep vs. nationally 23rd-ranked Ithaca. She improved to 9-0 on the season in the opener with a four-hit shutout in a 2-0 victory. She then notched her second save of the season in the nightcap with a hitless seventh inning, striking out two.

March 23
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Rachel Maxon - Brockport - Shortstop
Senior (Kendall/Kendall)
Maxon helped the Golden Eagles to a 6-1 week in Ft. Myers, FL hitting .536 (15 of 28), with five doubles, two homeruns and seven RBIs. She hit her third and fourth home runs of the season to lead Brockport to an 11-3 victory over Illinois College and a 7-7 tie in nine innings against Worcester. Maxon drove in the game winning run with a two-out RBI double in a 1-0 decision to Plymouth State.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Lyndsay Rowell - Cortland
Freshman (Sandy Creek/Sandy Creek)
Rowell went 2-0 on the week as she pitched 13.1 innings and recorded a 0.53 ERA. She registered her first career shutout in the 3-0 win at Muhlenberg where she threw five strikeouts. On the season, Rowell is 4-1 in six appearances as the Red Dragaons are 13-1 and ranked ninth in Div. III.

March 17
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Sammi Dieffenbach – Cortland - Catcher
Junior (Erin/Horseheads)
Dieffenbach helped the Red Dragons to a 9-1 week in Clermont, Fla., hitting .500 (9 of 18) with two doubles and seven RBIs. The catcher was 3 for 3 with three RBIs in a 10-0 win over Wisconsin Lutheran and went 2 for 3 in wins over TCNJ and Pitt Bradford.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Katie Finch - Cortland
Junior (Amsterdam/Broadalbin-Perth)
Finch went 5-0 with a save to start the season with an incredible stat line of just 10 hits allowed, no earned runs, 71 strikeouts and eight walks in 38 1/3 innings pitched. She also tossed a pair of no-hitters over Emerson and Manhattanville and threw a one-hitter in a win over nationally-ranked Rhode Island College. She had a stretch of 21 1/3 hitless innings during the week.
