April 20
MEN'S TRACK
Mike Heymann (Tully/Tully), Plattsburgh sophomore
Heymann automatically qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships in the 10,000-meter run with his eighth-place time of 30:15.79 at the Penn Relays. He broke a 33-year-old school record in the event by almost 23 seconds. Heymann has automatically qualified for nationals in two events this spring - he met the 5,000-meter standard two weeks ago at Bucknell.

WOMEN'S TRACK
Jenny Schaffhouser (Richford/Newark Valley), Plattsburgh junior
Schaffhouser placed 16th in the 10,000-meter run at the Penn Relays with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 36:34.21.

MEN'S FIELD
Dom Gonzalez (Monroe/Monroe-Woodbury), Brockport senior
Gonzalez won the hammer throw at the SUNY Geneseo Invitational with an NCAA provisional qualifying distance of 52.18 meters (171' 2"). He beat the runner-up in the event by more than six meters. Gonzalez also placed 16th in the discus with a throw of 31.68 meters (103' 11").

WOMEN'S FIELD
Kristen Serikstad (Oyster Bay/Oyster Bay), Cortland junior

Serikstad tied a 25-year-old school record in the high jump with a winning height of 1.68 meters (5' 6") at the Ithaca Open on Tuesday, then broke the record with her winning effort of 1.70 meters (5' 7") at the Cornell Big Red Invitational on Sunday. Her effort is an NCAA provisional height and just shy of the automatic standard of 1.71 meters. Serikstad also finished second in the javelin throw at Cornell with an ECAC-qualifying distance of 36.53 meters (119' 10").

April 20
MEN'S TRACK
Seth DuBois (Altamont/Guilderland), Cortland junior
DuBois won the 5,000-meter run at the Cortland Classic with an NCAA provisional time of 14:44.77. The time is a new meet record and SUNY Cortland Stadium Complex record in the event.

WOMEN'S TRACK
Alyssa Smith (Rochester/Brighton), Geneseo freshman
Smith won the 3,000 meter steeplechase at the Cortland Classic with an ECAC qualifying time of 11:14.15. Her time was just over one second short of the NCAA provisional qualifying mark.

MEN'S FIELD
Ryan Pericozzi (Lancaster/Lancaster), Cortland freshman
Pericozzi won the pole vault at the Cortland Classic with an NCAA provisional height of 4.81 meters (15' 9.25"). He also finished fourth in the long jump with a leap of 6.07 meters (19' 11").

WOMEN'S FIELD
Julia Hopson (Poughkeepsie/Arlington), Fredonia senior
Hopson put up another NCAA automatic qualifying distance in the hammerthrow during the University at Buffalo Invitational. Her winning throw of 54.62 meters was a season-best. She was also fourth in the shot put (12.49 meters).

April 13
MEN'S TRACK
Mike Heymann (Tully/Tully), Plattsburgh sophomore
Heymann automatically qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 14:24.55 at the Bucknell University Bison Outdoor Classic. His time broke a 33-year-old school record by just over 12 seconds and is the fastest time nationally in Division III this season. Heymann finished fourth in the event and was the second-fastest collegiate runner.

WOMEN'S TRACK
Alanna Hollborn (Islip Terrace/East Islip), Cortland senior
Hollborn finished third out of 38 runners in the 10,000-meter run at the Bucknell University Bison Outdoor Classic. She provisionally qualified for nationals with a time of 36:18.62.

MEN'S FIELD
Dom Gonzalez (Monroe/Monroe-Woodbury), Brockport senior
Gonzalez finished second in the hammer throw, behind only unattached Olympics Trials competitor Jesse Doty, at the Roberts Wesleyan Invitational. His toss of 52.88 meters (173' 6") is an NCAA provisional qualifier.

WOMEN'S FIELD
Julia Hopson (Poughkeepsie/Arlington), Fredonia senior
Hopson won both the hammer throw and the shot put at the Roberts Wesleyan Invitational. Her hammer throw of 48.10 meters (157' 10") is an NCAA provisional qualifier, while her shot put of 12.20 meters (40' 0.25") is an ECAC Division III Championship qualifier.

April 6
MEN'S TRACK
Kyle O'Brien - Cortland
Junior (Monroe/Monroe-Woodbury)
O'Brien just missed breaking his own school record and easily qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Sam Howell Invitational, hosted by Princeton University. O'Brien finished fifth in the race in 9:08.89, missing his own school record by 0.03 seconds. He easily met NCAA provisional qualifying standards with his time and missed NCAA automatic qualification by less than a second.

WOMEN'S TRACK
Kristin Vespa - Cortland
Sophomore (Ossining/Ossining)
Vespa qualified for the ECAC championship meet with a second-place time of 39:35.76 in the 10,000 meters at the Princeton Sam Howell Invitational.

MEN'S FIELD
Will Razzano - Cortland
Sophomore (Manorville/Riverhead)
Razzano qualified for ECAC's with his fourth-place distance of 13.91 meters in the triple jump at the Princeton University Sam Howell Invitational.

WOMEN'S FIELD
Sarah Kimball - Cortland
Senior (Liverpool/Liverpool)
Kimball provisionally qualified for nationals with her pole vault of 3.50 meters (11' 5.75") at the Princeton Sam Howell Invitational. She tied for fourth place in the event.

March 30
MEN'S TRACK
Willie Hordge - Buffalo State
Senior (Buffalo/Forestbrook (TX))
Hordge tied for second place in the 200-meter dash at the University of Maryland Invitational with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 21.78 seconds. He also ran a leg of the Bengals' 4x100-meter relay that placed second with an NCAA provisional time of 41.90 seconds.

WOMEN'S TRACK
Brittany Streeter - Brockport
Sophomore (Oneida/Oneida)
Streeter finished first in the 5,000-meter run with an ECAC qualifying time of 18:14.12 at the Jim Taylor Invitational, hosted by Susquehanna University. Streeter defeated her nearest competitor in the race by nearly 25 seconds.

MEN'S FIELD
Dom Gonzalez - Brockport
Senior (Monroe/Monroe-Woodbury)
Gonzalez was the top collegiate finisher in the hammer throw with a distance of 52.79 meters (173' 2") at the season-opening Jim Taylor Invitational, hosted by Susquehanna University. His effort is an NCAA provisional qualifier.

WOMEN'S FIELD
Morgan Sullivan - Brockport
Senior (Derby/Lake Shore)
Sullivan posted runner-up finishes in both the hammer throw (41.60 meters/136' 6") and the discus (32.38 meters/106' 3") at Susquehanna University's Jim Taylor Invitational. She also finished eighth out of 26 competitors in the shot put with a distance of 9.78 meters (32' 1").

March 23
MEN'S TRACK
Seth Yernye - Plattsburgh
Junior (Angola/Lake Shore)
Yernye finished third in the 3000-meter steeplechase (9:44.77) at the Shamrock Invitational hosted by Coastal Carolina and was 10th in the 800-meter run (2:00.13), the highest placing by an NCAA Division III athlete in each event.

WOMEN'S TRACK
Holly Black - Plattsburgh
Freshman (Peru/Peru)
Black finished fifth in the heptathlon with 3,170 points at the Shamrock Invitational hosted by Coastal Carolina. The only NCAA Division III athlete in the field, Black was fifth in the 200 meters (:27.98), first in the 800 meters (2:32.00), fifth in the 100-meter hurdles (:17.77) as well as fifth in the high jump (4'2.25"), fifth in the long jump (13'6.25"), fifth in the shot put (23'2.75"), and fourth in the javelin (66'4").

MEN'S FIELD
Michael Kelley - Fredonia
Junior (Geneseo/Genseo)
Kelley finished second in both the triple jump and the long jump at a meet at U.S. Naval Academy meet at Point Loma Nazarene University. His triple jump mark of 13.89 meters was just 10 centimers off his personal best. His long jump mark was 6.47 meters.

WOMEN'S FIELD
Julia Hopson - Fredonia
Senior (Poughkeepsie/Arlington)
One week after claiming the national title in the weight throw, Hopson hit an NCAA automatic mark of 54.44 meters in the hammer throw. The mark earned her first place at the U.S. Naval Academy meet at Point Loma Nazarene University. Hopson also won the shot put (12.48 meters) and finished secong in the discus (32.23 meters).
