ECAC Players of the Week
April 30, 2002Field Athlete of the Week: Mirabito captured the high jump with a NCAA provisional
qualifying height of 6'8" and finished first in the triple
jump with a distance of 45'3 ¼" at the State University
of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championships, leading State
University College at Cortland to its second straight title. The Liverpool,
New York native repeated as the SUNYAC champion in the high jump and
hopes to defend his NCAA Division III title. April 17, 2002Women's Track Athlete of the Week: Pringle captured the 100-meter with a time of 12.54,
anchored the winning 4x100-meter relay and was second in the 200-meter
with a time of 26.08 at Moravian College's Greyhound Invitational.
The 4x100-meter relay team crossed the finish line in 48.88 seconds
with an NCAA Division III provisional qualifier, while Pringle's 100-meter
and 200-meter times earned her a berth in the ECAC Championships.
The Bronx, New York native also captured the long jump with an ECAC
qualifying distance of 16'8" despite competing in the event for
the first in time her life. April 2, 2002Men's Field Athlete of the Week: Dominating the pole vault competition at the Battleground
Relays, hosted by Mary Washington University, Sceffler finished a
full foot and six inches ahead of the second place finisher. The Groton,
NY native captured the event with a vault of 14'6" in State University
College at Brockport's season opener.
