Cortland Men's Soccer Coach, Mike Middleton, has been named Men's Soccer Coach of the Year for the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC).

The award is voted on by all Conference Men's Soccer Coaches and is given out annually at the conclusion of the SUNYAC Championship.

In just his second season at Cortland, Head Coach Middleton and his fourth-seeded squad brought home the SUNYAC Conference Title by defeating second-seeded Fredonia 3-0 in the championship game. In the semi-finals, Cortland upset first seed and defending conference champions, Plattsburgh, 2-0. The Red Dragons last won the crown in 1993.

Cortland finished the regular season in SUNYAC play with a record of 6-3 and are currently 13-6-1 overall.
