SUNYAC ANNOUNCES PAIRINGS FOR MEN’S LACROSSE CHAMPIONSHIP

Tournament begins Wednesday with Play-In round

FREDONIA, NY – Four teams will begin their post-season play on Wednesday as they compete in the 2003 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Men’s Lacrosse Championship.

The Cortland Red Dragons are this year’s top seed and will host fourth-seeded Potsdam in play-in round action on Wednesday. The Bears finished the regular season tied with Oswego and Plattsburgh with a 3-4 conference record and earned their place in the tournament as a result of tie-breaking procedures. In Wednesday’s other game, No. 3 seed Oneonta will travel to second-seeded Geneseo. Game time for both games is 4 p.m.

The highest remaining seed after the play-in round will host the championship game on Saturday, May 3 at 1 p.m., with the winner receiving an automatic berth in the NCAA Division III Tournament.

#3 Oneonta at #2 Geneseo – 4 p.m.

Saturday, May 3 Championship Game – 1 p.m.
