SUNYAC Men's Lacrosse Championship Pairings Set
Play-in round begin Wednesday, Finals on Saturday

FREDONIA, N.Y. - The top four State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Men's Lacrosse teams are set, and the chase for the SUNYAC championship will begin this Wednesday, May 1, with a play-in round at the top two seeded teams. The Championship game will be on Saturday, May 4.

On Wednesday, fourth-seeded Geneseo (4-3) will play at top-seeded Cortland (7-0), and third-seeded Oswego will play at second-seeded Oneonta. Oneonta and Oswego both finished conference play with a 5-2 record, but Oneonta earned the second seed after defeating Oswego in head-to-head competition earlier this season. Both play-in games begin at 4 p.m. The highest remaining seed after the play-in round will host the championship game on Saturday, beginning at 1 p.m.

This is the first year of the conference tournament. Previously, the SUNYAC champion was determined by regular season conference play. The team crowned SUNYAC champion will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
