April 29, 2002

Oswego senior attackman Brian Dautrich (Auburn NY/Auburn) has been named the SUNYAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for the week ending April 28.

Dautrich scored five goals and scooped up five ground balls in the Lakers' 15-14 double-overtime loss to nationally 10th-ranked Nazareth. He also registered one goal, five assists and five ground balls in a 17-6 win over Brockport. Oswego will be the third seed in this week's SUNYAC tournament and will play at second-seeded Oneonta in the semifinals Wednesday.

April 22, 2002

Oneonta senior attackman Matt Puerta (Hicksville, NY/Hicksville) has been named the SUNYAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for the week ending April 21.

Puerta recorded six goals and nine assists for 15 total points in two
Oneonta wins. He scored four times and assisted on six goals in a 20-12 win over Elmira and registered two goals and three assists in a 9-8 win versus Potsdam.

The Red Dragons, ranked 18th nationally in Division III, are 10-2 this spring and in second place in the SUNYAC standings with a 5-1 mark.

April 15, 2002

Plattsburgh junior goalkeeper Ryan Parks (Waverly/Waverly) has been named the SUNYAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for the week ending April 14.

Parks made 21 saves in the Cardinals' 6-5 win over nationally 16th-ranked and previously undefeated Clarkson. In the decisive fourth quarter he made six saves, including several from point-blank range to preserve the win.

April 8, 2002

Cortland junior goalkeeper Steve Feltmann (Long Valley, NJ/West Morris Central) has been named the SUNYAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for the week ending April 7.

Feltmann made a career-high 21 saves and allowed six goals, only one even-strength, in a 10-6 win versus 10th-ranked Nazareth on Wednesday. He followed that effort with 11 saves and four goals allowed in just over three quarters of play in a 16-7 win at sixth-ranked and previously
unbeaten Hartwick on Saturday.

For the season, Feltmann has a 6.38 goals against average and a 67.9 save percentage. The Red Dragons are 8-1, including eight straight wins, and are ranked fourth nationally in Division III.

April 1, 2002

Oneonta senior attackman Anthony Pisciotto (Port Jefferson, NY/Ward Melville) has been named the SUNYAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for the week ending March 31.

Pisciotto recorded eight goals, seven assists and six ground balls in two victories for the 17th-ranked Red Dragons. He scored four times and assisted on five goals in a 23-6 win versus Brockport, followed by a four-goal, two-assist effort in an 18-8 win over Plattsburgh.

Oneonta is 6-1 overall and 2-0 in SUNYAC play this spring.

 

March 18, 2002

FREDONIA, N.Y. - Cortland junior goalie Steve Feltmann (Long Valley, NJ/West Morris Central) has been named the SUNYAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for the week ending March 17.

Feltmann made 15 saves and allowed only five goals in Cortland's 11-5 win at fifth-ranked Salisbury University on Saturday. The host Sea Gulls had averaged 17 goals per game in their first six contests.

Feltmann has a 5.31 goals against average and a 73.0 save percentage in three games for the nationally eighth-ranked Red Dragons (2-1). Cortland opened the season two weeks ago with a 7-6 triple overtime loss at Adelphi, the top-ranked team in Division II, and defeated then ninth-ranked Springfield 11-5 in North Carolina on March 10.
