Cortland Claims #1 seed in Men's and
Women's Basketball Tournament
Cortland's men's team finished with a record of 14-2 in the SUNYAC and will
host the eighth seeded Buffalo State Bengals. The Red Dragons faced the Bengals
once in the regular season and came away with a narrow 75-73 victory. Number
two seeded Oswego will host Geneseo. The Lakers defeated the Knights 67-60
in the regular season on Dec. 2. Sixth seeded Plattsburgh will travel to Brockport
and fifth seeded Potsdam will travel to SUNYIT. The Cardinals went 0-2 against
the Golden Eagles in the regular season, as the Bears and Wildcats went 1-1
against each other.
The winners of Tuesday’s games will advance to Friday’s semifinal games at
the Utica Memorial Auditorium in
