Potsdam Claims 2005 SUNYAC Men's Basketball Title

UTICA, NY - The Potsdam Bears held tight to their regular season top-seed as they defeated the Oswego Lakers 74-61 in the SUNYAC men's basketball championship game tonight. Potsdam receives an automatic bid to the NCAA DIII tournament. Oswego ends their season at 22-6.

Dave Ponza (Solvay/Solvay) led the Lakers with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Edane Barton (Spring Valley/Colgate University), the tournament MVP, led the Bears with 28 points and 9 rebounds.
