March 3
MEN'S TRACK
Mario Hicks - Buffalo State
Senior (Corning/Corning West)

Hicks won the crown in the 55-meter hurdles with an NCAA provisional time of 7.60 seconds and was third in the 55-meter dash (6.62) at the NYSCTC championships at St. Lawrence.

WOMEN'S TRACK
Latoya Edwards - Buffalo State
Sophomore (Brooklyn/Clara Barton)
Edwards won three individual titles and ran a leg of a championship relay. The sophomore set a pair of individual school records, winning the 200- (25.51) and 500-meter runs (1:19.30). She also won the 55-meter dash with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 7.26 seconds and participated in the 4x200-meter relay with a new school and state record time of 1:45.23.

MEN'S FIELD
Jake Zanetti - Cortland
Junior (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs)
Zanetti won his third consecutive NYSCTC title in the pole vault at the state championship meet at St. Lawrence. He cleared 4.71 meters, an NCAA provisional qualifier and a Newell Field House record.

WOMEN'S FIELD
Amanda Haney - Geneseo
Senior (Sidney/Sidney)
Haney, a three-time All-American high jumper, won the high jump with no practice sessions at the NYSCTC championships at St. Lawrence on Friday night with an ECAC-qualifying height of 1.63 meters after coming off a basketball season-ending loss to Oneonta on Tuesday.

February 18
Niko Brown - Geneseo
Freshman (Canton/Canton)

Brown finished second in the 600-meter dash at Cornell's Kane Invitational in a school record time of 1:28.72.

WOMEN'S TRACK
Shannon O'Keeffe - Brockport
Sophomore (Boston/Springville-Griffith)
O'Keeffe broke her own school record in the 60-meter hurdles with her preliminaries time of 9.47 and then posted a fifth-place finish with a 9.51 in the finals at Cornell's Kane Invitational. She was the second Division III finisher in the event. She also ran a leg in the 4x400 relay team that set a new school record with a time of 4:05.38 and was the top Division III relay and fourth overall.

Josh Dupuis - Brockport
Senior (Tupper Lake/Tupper Lake
Dupuis earned a provisional spot in the NCAA Championships with a first-place throw in the shot put winning the event with a toss of 16.35 meters at the mostly-Division I Robert Kane Invitational at Cornell on Saturday.

WOMEN'S FIELD
Julie Thering - Geneseo
Junior (Lyndonville/L.A. Webber)
At the Kane Invitational at Cornell, Thering placed second in the weight throw with an NCAA provisional toss of 16.02 meters and was seventh in the shot put with a distance of 11.55 meters.

February 11
MEN'S TRACK
Justin Wager - Cortland
Sophomore (Guilderland/Guilderland)
Wager broke two individual school records and was part of a record-setting distance medley relay team at the Boston University Valentine Invitational on Saturday. His fourth-place (out of 174 runners) time of 4:09.08 in the mile is an NCAA automatic qualifier. His time of 1:55.13 in the 800-meter run (32nd place of 189) broke a 17-year-old school mark.

Wager also ran the 1,600 in 4:09.4 to anchor Cortland's DMR that was an NCAA automatic qualifier and broke school, SUNYAC and NYSCTC records with a time of 9:56.49 (fourth place).

WOMEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Alanna Hollborn - Cortland
Junior (Islip Terrace/East Islip)
Hollborn provisionally qualified for nationals in the 5,000 meters with an 11th-place time (out of 79 runners) of 17:27.97 at the Boston University Valentine Invitational Friday.

CO-MEN'S FIELD ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
Chris Brhel - Brockport
Senior (Rochester/Gates-Chili)

Jake Zanetti - Cortland
Junior (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs)
Brhel and Zanetti tied for third in the pole vault with an ECAC-qualifying height of 4.50 meters at the Cornell Invitational on Saturday.

WOMEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Shannon O'Keeffe - Brockport
Junior (Boston/Springville-Griffith)
O'Keeffe finished first in the triple jump with a leap of 11.59 meters at the Division I Cornell Invite meet on Saturday. Her jump currently ranks second in all of Division III and improved on her NCAA qualifying jump, as well as marked her season's best. O'Keeffe also finished fifth in the 60 meter hurdles with a school record time of 9.53.

February 4
MEN'S TRACK
Amaan Siddeeq - Cortland
Senior (Goshen/Goshen)
Siddeeq won both the 200-meter dash and 55-meter dash at the Syracuse Invitational. His time of 21.96 seconds in the 200 meters breaks his own school indoor record from last season and is a new SUNYAC record. His 55-meter dash time of 6.38 seconds is an NCAA provisional qualifier.

WOMEN'S TRACK
Alanna Hollborn - Cortland
Junior (Islip Terrace/East Islip)
Hollborn was the top collegiate finisher (second overall) in the mile at the Syracuse Invitational. Her time of 5:04.24 is an NCAA provisional qualifier.

MEN'S FIELD
Josh Dupuis - Brockport
Junior (Tupper Lake/Tupper Lake)

Dupuis qualified for the NCAA Championships by taking first in the shot put with a heave of 15.80 meters. The throw was over two meters ahead of the second place finisher.

WOMEN'S FIELD
Julia Hopson - Fredonia
Junior (Poughkeepsie/Arlington)

Hopson automatically qualified for the NCAA Championships and broke her own SUNYAC record in the 20-pound weight throw with a toss of 17.41 meters at RIT. Her previous best was 16.73 meters on January 19 at the Mary Phillips Invitational. Hopson entered the meet as the No.-
1 ranked woman in NCAA Division III.

January 28
MEN'S TRACK
Justin Wager - Cortland
Sophomore (Guilderland/Guilderland)
Wager set a school record in the 1,000-meter run with an ECAC qualifying time of 2:27.94 at the Colgate University Class of '32 Invitational. The previous record of 2:30.00 had stood since 1992.

WOMEN'S TRACK
Alyssa Recny - Plattsburgh
Senior (Keeseville/AuSable Valley)

Recny ran a personal-best time in the 5,000-meter run at the Division I Boston University Terrier Invitational, winning her heat and placing 14th out of 29 athletes in 17:54.24.

MEN'S FIELD
Kevin O'Connell - Geneseo
Junior (Hopewell Junction/John Jay)
O'Connell won the pole vault at the St. Lawrence Invitational with an ECAC qualifying height of 4.57 meters. It was the first time he cleared the height.

WOMEN'S FIELD
Tara Phouthavongsa - Brockport
Junior (Brockport/Brockport)

Phouthavongsa was first in the long jump with an ECAC qualifying leap of 5.18 meters and also took first place in the high jump with an ECAC qualifying jump of 1.58 meters at the St. Lawrence University Invitational on Saturday.


January 21
MEN'S TRACK
Amaan Siddeeq
Senior (Goshen/Goshen)
Siddeeq won both the 60- dash and 200-meter dash at the Cornell University Upstate Challenge. The meet featured Division I schools Cornell, Syracuse, Buffalo, Binghamton and Colgate along with Div. III Ithaca.

Siddeeq reached the NCAA automatic qualifying standard (for the 55-meter dash) for the second time this year with his 60-meter dash time of 6.83 seconds. His winning time of 22.08 in the 200 meters is an ECAC qualifier.


WOMEN'S TRACK
Liz Montgomery - Geneseo
Junior (Glenville/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake)

Montgomery won the mile run with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 4:59.26 and the 1,000 meters with a time of 3:03.85 at the RIT Invitational.

MEN'S FIELD
Wes Hamilton - Geneseo
Senior (Hamilton/William Floyd)

Hamilton won the triple jump with an NCAA provisional distance of
14.25 meters and the long jump with a leap of 6.79 meters at the RIT Invitational.

WOMEN'S FIELD
Julia Hopson -- Fredonia
Junior (Poughkeepsie/Arlington)

Hopson set a SUNYAC and Fredonia State record - breaking her own marks - in the 20-pound weight throw with an NCAA provisional toss of 16.73 meters during the Mary Phillips Invitational.

January 14
MEN'S TRACK
Patrick Gallagher - Geneseo
Sophomore (Warwick/Warwick Valley)
Gallagher set a school record in the 500-meter dash with a first place time of 1:05.54 at the Syracuse Invitational.

WOMEN'S TRACK
Liz Montgomery - Geneseo
Junior (Glenville/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake)
Montgomery broke 2008 Olympic hopeful Melissa White's 2003 school record of 9:50.00 in the 3,000 meters with a winning time of 9:44.06 at the Syracuse Invitational.


December 10
MEN'S TRACK
Cevon Carver - Brockport
Sophomore (Bronx/DeWitt)
At the RIT Early Season Invitational on Thursday, Carver finished first in the 55-meter dash (6.68 seconds), second in the 55 hurdles (8.30 seconds) and third in the long jump (6.23 meters).

WOMEN'S TRACK
Erin Gallagher - Cortland
Sophomore (Monroe/Monroe-Woodbury)
Gallagher won the 55-meter hurdles in a field of 18 entries at the St. Lawrence Holiday Relays. Her time of 8.97 seconds is an ECAC qualifier. She also was part of Cortland's 4x200 relay that placed third in an ECAC-qualifying time of 1:49.33.

MEN'S FIELD
John Brennan - Brockport
Senior (Rochester/Aquinas)
Brennan won the long jump with an ECAC Championship qualifying distance of 6.68 meters and also qualified for the ECAC Championships in the 4x200 relay with a first-place finish in a time of 1:34.13 at the RIT Early Season Invitational.

WOMEN'S FIELD
Sarah Kimball - Cortland
Junior (Liverpool/Liverpool)

Kimball won the pole vault at the St. Lawrence Holiday Relays with an NCAA provisional qualifying height of 3.45 meters. She also placed second in the 55-meter hurdles in 9.13 seconds.


December 3
MEN'S TRACK
Amaan Siddeeq (Goshen/Goshen), Cortland senior

Siddeeq finished second overall (first among collegiate entries) in the 60-meter dash at the Cornell Relays. His time of 6.78 seconds automatically qualifies him for the NCAA Division III Championships in the 55-meter dash. Siddeeq also finished sixth in the 300-meter dash in a time of 35.61.

WOMEN'S TRACK
Alanna Hollborn (Islip Terrace/East Islip), Cortland junior

Hollborn finished first in the 3,000-meter run at the Cornell Relays on Dec. 1 with an ECAC-qualifying time of 10:35.16.

MEN'S FIELD
Dom Gonzalez (Monroe/Monroe-Woodbury), Brockport senior

Gonzalez finished fifth in the weight throw with a toss of 51 feet, three inches at the Cornell Relays on Dec. 1. His distance was the top by a Division III competitor and qualified him for the SUNYAC and ECAC championships.

WOMEN'S FIELD
Shannon O'Keeffe (Boston/Springville-Griffith), Brockport junior

O'Keeffe finished second in the triple-jump with a leap of 36 feet, 7 inches at the Cornell Relays on Dec. 1. With her jump, she qualified for the ECAC Championships and missed the NCAA Division III qualifying mark by three centemeters. She also took 23rd in the long jump, eighth best among Division III participants.
