Women's Track Athlete of the Week

Sarah Hite, Fredonia State University
Hite, a sophomore from Avon, shined for the host team Saturday at Fredonia State's Mary Phillips Invitational. Hite claimed victories in both the 55-meter dash and 55-hurdles in times of 7.52 and 8.75 seconds, respectively. She also finished second in the 200 meters with a time of 26.90. She qualified for the New York State Collegiate Track meet in all three events. In just two seasons at Fredonia State, Hite has established four school records indoors and one outdoors. She also nchored two record-setting relays.

Men's Field Athlete of the Week

Andrew Fetzner, Brockport State
Fetzner improved on his season best pole vault with a height of 4.27 to earn first place. He also was first in the high jump with a season high of 1.73.

Men's Track Athlete of the Week

Jeremy Clawson, Brockport State
The SUNY Brockport men and women's indoor track teams opened the season at the University of Rochester Saturday. Clawson, a junior from Olean, New York, was a first place finisher in the 55 meter dash with a time of 6.91 and a second place finisher in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.50.

Women's Field Athlete of the Week

Jessica Adam, Oswego State
The freshman from Dover, New Hampshire set an Oswego State record and qualified for the ECAC Championships, New York Collegiate Track Confrence Championships and the SUNY Athletic Conference Championships in her first throw as a collegian in the shot put in the Cornell Kick-Off. She had a throw of 11.47 meters (37'7-3/4"). She finished seventh overall in the event and was the top finisher from Division III. The top six spots were Division I throwers.
