Player of the Week
Jeff Olsen, Cortland,
Senior, Forward, , New York, NY
Scored one goal in a 9-6 setback to Oswego. Scored three goals, including the game winner, and added and assist in Cortland's must-win 5-2 victory over Buffalo State in the second game of the teams' SUNYAC first-round playoff series. Then, he scored the game winner, the game's only goal, in the Red Dragons 1-0 win in the 20-minute mini-game to lead the Red Dragons to the semi-finals versus Oswego. He has 45 points on 21 goals and 24 assists on the season, all career and team highs.

Freshman, Forward,
Scored two of Fredonia's four goals in a 4-2 win over Buffalo State on Tuesday, February 12th. Catelin has 10 goals and 2 assists in his first season on collegiate competition.

Goaltender of the Week
Brett Walker, Geneseo
Freshman, Goaltender, , Regina, Saskatchewan
Stopped 25 shots in the win over Brockport on Tuesday, made 28 saves in the win on Friday and stopped 25 of 27 shots in game two on Saturday for a 2.01 goals against and a .929 save percentage on the week.

February 11, 2002

Totaled five goals and two assists in three games this past week, including scoring two goals and two assists in a 5-5 tie against Oswego on Friday and two goals against Utica on Tuesday.

Rookie of the Week
Jason Perry, Cortland
F, Plattsburgh, New York
Collected a career-high four assists in Cortland's 9-2 win at Fredonia
on Friday. Added a goal in Cortland's 7-3 win at Buffalo State on
Saturday that clinched third place in the SUNYAC. Has 11 points on 4 goals and 7 assists overall on the season.

Goalie of the Week
Niklas Sundberg, Plattsburgh State
Sr., Stockholm, Sweden
Sundberg posted his first shutout of the season (11th of his career) in
a 7-0 win over Geneseo Saturday. He made 34 saves in 60:00 to keep the Knights off of the board. Friday he entered the game with 30:00
remaining and held Brockport scoreless while making 18 saves in the win. Sundberg leads the SUNYAC in GAA and win percentage.

February 4, 2002

Player of the Week
Christian Fletcher, Fredonia
Scored two of Fredonia's four weekend goals, one in a 2-3 loss to Potsdam on Friday, and one in a 2-6 loss to Plattsburgh on Saturday. Fletcher is Fredonia's leading scorer.

Rookie of the Week
Gary Bowman, Oswego State
Notched two assists in the 3-2 loss to Geneseo. Scored a goal and an
assist in the 8-1 win at Brockport. For the season, Bowman has five goals and
nine assists for 14 points.

Goalie of the Week
Brett Walker, Geneseo
Fr., G, Regina, Saskatchewan
The freshman stopped 24 shots in the Knight's 3-2 win over Oswego on Friday and made 30 saves in the 2-2 tie with Cortland on Saturday to give him a 1.92 goals against average and a .931 save percentage for the week.

January 28, 2002

Player of the week:
Todd Nowicki ~ Buffalo State
F, Sr., Tonawanda, NY
Nowicki became the first player in Bengal history to record 100 career
points. On Friday against Geneseo, he scored a shorthanded goal in a 9-3 loss. In a 6-4 win over Brockport on Saturday, he tallied two goals and two assists, including another shorthanded goal, giving him 103 career points.

Rookie of the week:
Paul Perrier ~ Oswego State
F, Fr., Aurora, Ontario
Perrier had two goals in an 8-1 win at Potsdam, including the game winner. The goals were the first two of his career.

Goalie of the week:
Joe Lofberg ~ Oswego State
G, So., Suffern, New York
Stopped 38 or 40 shots in an 3-2 overtime win at Plattsburgh. For the season, Lofberg has a GAA of 2.09, a save percentage of .931 and a 9-2 record.

January 21, 2002

Player of the Week
Jad Ramsay, Buffalo State
Sr., D., Tampa Bay, FL
Ramsay scored his first two goals of the season in back-to-back games against Manhattanville. He also added an assist. The first of his two goals made him Buffalo State's all-time leading defenseman goal scorer.

Rookie of the Week
Nate Gagnon, Cortland
F, Wilton, NY
Scored 3 goals in a 9-2 win over Neumann. Has scored eight points in his last three games. Leads all Cortland freshmen in scoring with 21 points. Leads the team with 10 goals.

Goalie of the Week
Will Hamele, Fredonia
17 saves in Seneca game, 24 saves in Utica game, 28 saves in Hobart game.

January 14, 2002

Player of the Week:
Joe Urbanik, Buffalo State
Jr., F, Calumet City, IL
Urbanik led the Bengals to a pair of victories at Newmann College 8-1 and 10-2 on the weekend. He tallied two goals and an assist the first game, and notched two goals and four assists in the second game to total nine points on the weekend. Joe moved into second place all-time on Buffalo State's career scoring list with 92 points.

Rookie of the Week
Nate Gagnon, Cortland
Fr., F, Wilton, NY
Scored two goals in 6-5 loss at Wentworth, both in the third period. Recorded three assists at Johnson & Wales bringing his point total for the week to five.

Goalie of the Week
Tyson Gajda, Oswego
Soph., G, Westfield, MA
Posted a 4-1 victory at Wentworth stopping 26 of 27 shots. For the season, he is 3-1 and has a GAA of 2.20 and a save percentage of .927.

January 7, 2002

Player of the Week:
Scott Lephart, Geneseo
Sr., D, Niskayuna, New York
Scored a goal and added an assist, both in the third period, in the Knights' 4-3 win over Hobart Saturday. It was Lephart's first game as a forward since being moved to defense as a freshman.

Rookie of the Week:
Mark Digby, Brockport
F, Fulton, New York
In Sunday's 5-1 win at Framingham State, Digby scored the eventual game-winner, the first of his career. The win broke Brockport's 11-game losing streak. Digby added his first-career tally the night before versus Fitchburg State.

Goaltender of the Week:
Niklas Sundberg, Plattsburgh
Sr., Stockholm, Sweden
Stopped all 25 shots he faced in Wednesday's 6-2 win at Amherst, Sundberg played almost 52 minutes, and lowered his league-best goals against average to 1.80

December 10, 2001

Player of the Week:
Nate Elliott, Oswego State
Sr., D, Oswego, New York
Named Most Valuable Player of the Jimmy Mac Invitational at Brockport. In two games, Elliott recorded a goal and two assists, and finished with a +8 rating as the Lakers downed Milwaukee School of Engineering and Brockport. Elliott added two assists in Tuesday's 4-1 win over Cortland.

Rookie of the Week:
Matt Crane, Fredonia
F, Derby, New York
Scored the second and third goals of his career as the Blue Devils swept a weekend series at Neumann. Crane also added his first collegiate assist in Saturday's win, helping Fredonia snap a seven-game losing streak.

Goaltender of the Week:
Joe Lofberg, Oswego State
Jr., Suffern, New York
Earned a 4-1 victory over Cortland Tuesday and a 3-1 victory over host Brockport in the finals of the Jimmy Mac Invitational, earning a spot on the All-Tournament team. Suffern turned aside 51 of 53 shots in improving to 6-0 on the year.

December 3, 2001

Player of the Week:
Matt Donskov, Cortland
So., F, Westerville, Ohio
Scored three points in each of Cortland's three games last week, finishing with four goals and five assists as the Red Dragons improved to 9-2-1 on the season, matching its win total from all of last year.

Rookie of the Week:
Brad Zarem, Brockport
Fr., Novi, Michigan
Notched the first three goals of his career against defending national champion Plattsburgh Friday, all of which came in the third period. Also added an assist Saturday versus Potsdam that tied the game at one.

Goaltender of the Week:
Joe Lofberg, Oswego State
Jr., Suffern, New York
Won three games on the week, including his second shutout of the season Saturday against Fredonia, to remain perfect on the season. Lofberg currently sports a 2.00 GAA and a league-best .927 save percentage.

November 26, 2001

Player of the Week:
Trevor Bauer, Cortland
Sr., F, Clinton, New York
Scored two second-period goals as Cortland rallied from a three-goal deficit to tie Utica 4-4. Bauer is tied for third on the team in scoring with four goals and four assists.

Co-Rookies of the Week:
Tim Earl, Cortland
F, Troy, New York
Registered two points in a 4-4 tie with Utica. Earl is tied for second on the team with four goals.

Mark Strzoda, Oswego State
D, Brampton, Ontario
Recorded a pair of assists as the Lakers fell to Manhattanville 8-4. The two points doubled Strzoda's career total.

November 19, 2001

Player of the Week:
Tony Scorsone, Geneseo
Sr., F, Geneseo, New York
Had a hand in eight of Geneseo's 11 goals last week. Scorsone tallied a goal in Tuesday's 12-2 loss to RIT, assisted on all three goals in Friday's 5-3 loss to Lebanon Valley and added a goal and three assists in Saturday's 6-2 win over Neumann. Scorsone leads the league in scoring with 15 points (four goals, 11 assists).

Rookie of the Week:
Kevin Watters, Cortland
F, Pittsford, New York
Scored his first career hat trick in leading the Red Dragons to a 6-2 home win Saturday over previously-unbeaten Johnson & Wales. With eight points (three goals, five assists), Watters is tied for second on the team in scoring.

Goaltender of the Week:
John Larnerd, Cortland
Jr., Upper Darby, Pennsylvania
Stopped 31 of 33 shots in Saturday's 6-2 win over Johnson & Wales. Larnerd has a 5-1 record, 2.00 GAA and a .932 save percentage on the season, all conference bests.

November 12, 2001
Player of the Week
Jeff Olsen, Cortland (Sr., New York, NY)
Assisted on both game-winning goals in wins over Brockport and Geneseo on the road. Currently leads the Red Dragons in scoring with nine points (three goals, six assists) in seven games. Has scored in all but one game this season.

Rookie of the Week
Tony Seariac, Plattsburgh State (G, Framingham, MA)
Recorded Plattsburgh State's first shutout of season in his first collegiate start, a 4-0 victory over Fredonia Saturday. Seariac stopped 15 shots in the win, which extended the top-ranked Cardinals' winning streak to nine games (dating back to last season).

Co-Goaltenders of the Week
Joe Lofberg, Oswego State (Jr, Suffern, NY)
Tyson Gajda, Oswego State (So., Westfield, MA)
Lofberg made 30 saves in his first start of the season, a 5-0 shutout at Geneseo Friday. Gajda, meanwhile, recorded a shutout of his own the next night, stopping 27 shots in a 6-0 win at Brockport.

November 5, 2001

Player of the Week:
Todd Nowicki, Buffalo State

Nowicki lead the conference in scoring last week with two goals and six assists as Buffalo State opened SUNYAC play with wins over Geneseo and Brockport. The senior leads the league in scoring with 11 points.

Rookie of the Week:
Brett Walker, Geneseo
G, Regina, Saskatchewan
Walker allowed just six goals in over 122 minutes of action as Geneseo went 1-1 on the week. Walker stopped 28 of 29 shots in the Knights' 2-1 win Saturday over Fredonia, the team's first victory of the year.

Goaltender of the Week:
Will Hamele, Fredonia
Jr., Dearborn, Michigan
Hamele lead the SUNYAC last week with a 1.95 goals against average and a .934 save percentage as the Blue Devils went 1-1. Hamele leads the conference in minutes and is the only goalie with a GAA under two.
