February 19
SUNY Plattsburgh sophomore Kevin Galan (Salmon Arm, BC) and junior goalie Greg Van't Hof (Toronto, ONT) have been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Player of the Week and Goaltender of the Week respectively. Buffalo State rookie defenseman, D'Arcy Thomas has been named the SUNYAC Rookie of the Week.

Galan scored a career high five points to help SUNY Plattsburgh clinch the No. 3 seed in the upcoming SUNYAC Tournament . The sophomore scored two goals and assisted on three more as the Cardinals defeated SUNY Potsdam 10-3 on Friday. Galan set season highs in assists with 15 and points with 27 while becoming the teams 2nd leading scorer this season.

Van't Hof stopped 25 of 26 shots in the 2-1 upset victory over SUNY Geneseo on Friday. The junior played all 60 minutes and made some key saves down the stretch to preserve the victory. Combined with the Golden Eagle defense, the Blue Knights went a 0-8 in powerplay opportunities. Van't Hof earned player of the game honors and earned the 1st star on the night, as the Golden Eagles clinched its first SUNYAC Tournament appearance since the 1999-2000 season.

Thomas netted two goals and an assist in the 6-4 win over SUNY Fredonia clinching the Bengals first ever home playoff game. The freshman scored the game-winner and now ranks second in the SUNYAC Conference in rookie scoring with 14 goals and 13 assists.

February 12
SUNY Plattsburgh teammates senior Ryan Busby (Georgetown, ONT) and sophomore goalie Chris Molinaro (Nesconset, NY) have been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Player of the Week and Goaltender of the Week respectively. SUNY Cortland rookie defenseman, Gerard Heinz (Kings Park, NY) has been named the SUNYAC Rookie of the Week.

Busby scored a power-play and shorthanded goal to help the Cardinals overcome a two-goal deficit on the road and tied SUNY Cortland 3-3. The senior center added an assist in the 4-1 upset win at #2 ranked and SUNYAC leader SUNY Oswego at Oswego. The three-point weekend led Plattsburgh, who finished the weekend 1-0-1.

Molinaro stopped 42 of 44 shots for a .955 save percentage and recorded a 1.04 goals against average to help Plattsburgh to a 1-0-1 SUNYAC week. The sophomore goalie came off the bench to help the Cardinals came back and salvage a 3-3 tie at Cortland, while making 15 saves. Molinaro became the first goalie to beat nationally ranked Oswego in the Lakers new arena when he stopped 27 shots enroute to a 4-1 victory and pushed his overall record to 7-4-4.

Heinz recorded one goal and one assists in the 3-3 tie vs. Plattsburgh, while scoring the game-tying goal early in the third period. The freshman followed that effort with another goal in the 7-6 OT win over Potsdam keeping the Red Dragons SUNYAC Playoff hopes alive with one game remaining.

February 5
SUNY Geneseo teammates senior Mitch Stephens (Forrest, MAN), and junior goalie Derek Jokic (Petersburg, ONT) have been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Player of the Week and Goaltender of the Week respectively. SUNY Cortland rookie forward, Frank Rizzo (St. James, NY) has been named the SUNYAC Rookie of the Week.

Stephens recorded a six-point weekend leading the Blue Knights to two road wins. The forward assisted on all four goals as Geneseo beat Plattsburgh 4-2. The following night, the senior registered a goal and one assist in the 5-2 win at Potsdam. Stephens scored the game winning goal in the win vs. Potsdam, which was his second shorthanded goal of the season. He leads the NCAA Division III with 1.91 assists per game is second in scoring at 2.27 per contest.

Jokic stopped 66 of 70 shots to lead Geneseo to an undefeated weekend. In the 4-2 win at Plattsburgh, the junior stopped 40 shots while playing all 60 minutes. He followed that performance with a 26 save effort in the 5-2 win at Potsdam. Jokic posted a .943 save percentage and a 2.00 GAA in the two victories while playing all 120 minutes.

Rizzo registered a three-point weekend in helping the Red Dragons to a 1-1 record. The freshman scored the game-winning goal early in the third period in a win at Fredonia, the 3rd time the Red Dragons have beaten the Blue Devils this season. Rizzo also added an assist in the victory of Fredonia and chipped in with another assist in the loss to Buffalo State. He has six goals and three assists on the season, all coming in his last six games.

January 29
SUNY Oswego sophomore Brendan McLaughlin (Brampton, ONT), and SUNY Fredonia freshman goalie Pat Street (Annapolis, MD) have been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Player of the Week and Goaltender of the Week respectively. SUNY Plattsburgh rookie defender, Eric Greene (Cedar Knolls, NJ) has been named the SUNYAC Rookie of the Week.

McLaughlin exploded for an eight-point week leading the Lakers to a 2-1 record. The sophomore accounted for all six goals in the 6-0 win over SUNY Brockport. He scored three times and assisted on three more goals for the third 6-point night in his career. McLaughlin also scored twice as the Lakers defeated SUNY Geneseo in a match up of the first and second place SUNYAC teams. The lone blemish came at Utica 5-2. He leads Oswego with 40 points on the season (20 goals, 20 assists).

Street made 47 saves in the 3-3 tie vs. SUNY Plattsburgh including nine in overtime. He stopped 27 more shots in the 4-2 win over SUNY Potsdam while playing all 60 minutes. Street improved his overall save percentage to .923 (.925 in the Conference). He has a 2.66 GAA in 15 games and a 6-5-4 record with one shutout.

Greene recorded a goal in back-to-back games against SUNY Fredonia and Buffalo State. The two goals were the freshman's first of his career after scoring no goals in his first eight collegiate games. He had only four shots and a plus-2 rating. Green has registered three points on two goals and an assist for the Cardinals.

January 22
SUNY Plattsburgh teammates freshman Joey Wilson (Newmarket, ONT), and sophomore goalie Chris Molinaro (Nesconset, NY) have been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Player of the Week and Goaltender of the Week respectively. SUNY Brockport rookie left wing, Lucas Schott (Erin, ONT)) has been named the SUNYAC Rookie of the Week.

Wilson became the first Cardinal player in seven years to score four goals in a game as he single-handedly led SUNY Plattsburgh to an 8-1 upset over #13 ranked Skidmore on the road. The freshman registered the first two goals of the game and three of the first four enroute to a 5-0 lead. The forward netted another on a penalty shot to give the Cardinals a 6-1 lead at the end of the second period. Wilson added an assist in the third period for a career high five-point night.

Molinaro won his third straight decision by stopping 22 of 23 shots during the 8-1 upset of nationally ranked Skidmore. The sophomore gave up only one goal in nearly 53 minutes and held Skidmore scoreless until less than three minutes remaining in the second period for the victory. In his last three starts, Molinaro has beaten two ranked teams, made 65 saves and has recorded a 1.78 Goals Against Average.

Schott assisted on a career-high four goals in the Golden Eagles 8-1 victory over Lebanon Valley during the week. The left wing assisted on the opening goal 15 minutes into the game and added another in the second period and two more in the third period on powerplay goals. Schott has registered one goal and six assists on the season as the Golden Eagles improve its record to 6-7-5 overall.

January 15
SUNY Fredonia senior Kraig Kuzma (Muskegon, MI), and SUNY Potsdam senior goalie Rob Barnhardt (Fort Erie, ONT) have been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Player of the Week and Goaltender of the Week respectively. SUNY Plattsburgh rookie goaltender, Pier-Luc Belanger (L'isle-Verte, QUE) has been named the SUNYAC Rookie of the Week.

Kuzma registered an eight point weekend as he led the Blue Devils to an undefeated 3-0 weekend. The senior scored the game-winning goal as the Blue Devils defeated #13 Utica College in Utica. Kuzma also recorded two assists in the 4-2 victory. The forward added an assist in the 5-2 win over Morrisville, and netted two more goals and assisted on two others as Fredonia beat Morrisville for the second time 11-1. He now has 95 career points, good for a tie for 13th on the SUNY Fredonia career scoring list.

Barnhardt stopped 125 saves, despite dropping two games to Number 1 ranked Manhattanville over the weekend. The senior recorded 57 saves while playing all 60 minutes in the 5-1 loss. The goalie stopped 68 shots while only giving up four goals in the second game against Manhattanville on Saturday. He kept the Bears tied at 2-2 until 15 minutes remaining in the 3rd period before dropping the 4-2 decision.
Barnhardt is 2-5 on the season.

Belanger led the Cardinals to two victories over the weekend while recording four points. In the 4-2 win over nationally ranked Norwich, the rookie forward scored the game-winning power-play goal and assisted on another as the Cardinals upset the Cadets. The freshman followed that effort with another two points on a goal and an assist in the 9-2 win over Curry. Belanger leads the SUNYAC freshman with 11 goals and 22 points on the season.

January 8
SUNY Fredonia junior Neal Sheehan (Avon Lake, OH), and Buffalo State freshman goalie Kyle Gunn-Taylor (W. Seneca, NY) have been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Player of the Week and Goaltender of the Week respectively. SUNY Fredonia rookie goaltender, Matt Pfalzer (Getzville, NY) has been named the SUNYAC Rookie of the Week.

Sheehan tied the school record for points in a game with seven (4 goals, three assists) in the 9-3 win over Johnson & Wales. The Blue Devils scored seven goals in a row after trailing 2-0 at the end of the first period, with four goals coming from Sheehan. The forward added an assist in the 4-1 win over Wentworth to give him 12 goals and 13 assists on the season. The junior netted two power plays goals giving him 22 in his career which is tied for 5th in the program's history.

Gunn-Taylor, making his second career start earned the victory in the 7-2 win over Morrisville State College over the weekend. The freshman stopped 16 shots while only giving up two goals while playing all 60 minutes. Gunn-Taylor pushed his record to 2-0 on the season.

Pfalzer registered a five point weekend helping SUNY Fredonia win two contests. The defender collected four assists in the 9-3 win over Johnson & Wales. The four assists was one short of tying the school record. The freshman added another assist in the 4-1 win over Wentworth giving him seven assists on the season.

December 10
SUNY Plattsburgh sophomore Mike Thomson (LaHabra Hgts, CA), and Brockport junior goalie Greg Van't Hof (Toronto, QUE) have been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Player of the Week and Goaltender of the Week respectively. SUNY Geneseo rookie goaltender, Greg Richardson (Colton, NY) has been named the SUNYAC Rookie of the Week.

Thomson led the Cardinals with three points over the weekend as SUNY Plattsburgh split two non-conference games vs NESCAC opponents. The sophomore scored a season high two goals in a 6-2 win over Williams College. Thomson assisted on the only Cardinal goal in the 2-1 loss to Nationally Ranked Middlebury.

Van't Hof won his first game of the season stopping 14 of 15 shots in a 3-1 win over Morrisville State College on Friday. The Golden Eagles avenged a loss to the Mustangs earlier in the season. The junior played all 60 minutes in goal giving up only the one goal late in the first period on a power-play. With the victory, Brockport improves to 5-6-4 and have already won more games this season than all of last.

Richardson posted his first collegiate win on Saturday with a 7-3 win over Skidmore College. The freshman goalie stopped 29 shots for a .906 save percentage while playing all 60 minutes for the Blue Knights.

December 3
SUNY Oswego sophomore forward Ryan Ellis (Georgetown, ONT) and SUNY Fredonia freshman goalie Pat Street (Annapolis, MD) have been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Player of the Week and Goaltender of the Week respectively. SUNY Plattsburgh rookie goaltender, Pier-Luc Belanger (L'isle-Vertie, QUE) has been named the SUNYAC Rookie of the Week.

Ellis scored seven points in two games as he lead the SUNY Oswego Lakers to an undefeated weekend (1-0-1). The sophomore forward netted a goal and added three assists in the 8-1 win over SUNY Potsdam. In the 5-5 tie at SUNY Plattsburgh, Ellis scored two goals and assists on another. The Lakers rallied from a 3-0 deficit to record the tie. Ellis has scored eight goals and has added 13 assists thus far this season.

Street led the SUNY Fredonia Blue Devils to win and a tie over the weekend in goal. The freshman earned the #1 star with his 39 save performance in the 2-1 win over Geneseo. Street stopped a breakaway by the nation's leading scorer to preserve the 2-1 win. After a slow first period, Street settled down and shutout SUNY Brockport for the remainder of the game as the Blue Devils rallied from a 3-0 deficit to tie the Golden Eagles 3-3. The freshman stopped 22 shots in the game and improved his overall record to 3-4-2 on the season.

Belanger recorded two goals and two assists in a win and tie to lead the SUNY Plattsburgh hockey team over the weekend. The rookie registered a career-high three points against the nations 5th ranked SUNY Oswego team, including the game-tying goal with five seconds left in regulation to force overtime. Belanger added an assist in the 6-0 win over SUNY Cortland one night earlier. The freshman has registered eight goals and eight assists to lead the Cardinals and SUNYAC Rookies in scoring on the season.

November 27
SUNY Plattsburgh senior center Ryan Busby (Georgetown, ONT), and teammate sophomore goalie Chris Molinaro (Nesconset, NY) have been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Player of the Week and Goaltender of the Week respectively. SUNY Brockport rookie goaltender, Todd Sheridan (Edison, NJ) has been named the SUNYAC Rookie of the Week.

Busby was selected to the Primelink Great Northern Shootout All-Tournament Team after leading the Cardinals to a runner-up finish in the tournament over the weekend. The senior registered an assist in the 4-2 upset victory over national powerhouse and three-time efending National Champions Middlebury College. The center scored one of the two goals in the 4-2 loss to nationally ranked Norwich College in the Championship game giving him three goals and eight assists on the season. His eight assists leads the Cardinals.

Molinaro recorded 52 saves in two games including 21 saves in the 4-2 victory over Middlebury College in the first-round of the Primelink Great Northern Shootout. The sophomore finished the weekend at 1-1 after playing two top-five ranked teams in the country. The Cardinals dropped the championship game to Norwich College 4-2. Molinaro stopped 31 shots in that game.

Sheridan recorded an undefeated weekend going 1-0-1 at the Stove Pipe/PAL Tournament in Southern New Hampshire over the weekend. The freshman stopped 19 shots while only allowing one goal in the 1-1 tie to Plymouth St which the Golden Eagles lost to in a shootout. In the consolation game, Sheridan stopped 27 shots as SUNY Brockport took third place with a 4-3 win over Suffolk College on Sunday. The freshman goalie improved his record to 4-4-2 with an .895 save percentage and has already matched the win total from all of last season for the Golden Eagles.

November 20
SUNY Fredonia junior forward Neal Sheehan (Avon Lake, OH), Cortland's freshman goalie Ben Binga (Rochester, NY) have been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Player of the Week and Goaltender of the Week respectively. SUNY Potsdam rookie, Connor Treacy (Markham,ONT) has been named the SUNYAC Rookie of the Week.

Sheehan accounted for all the Blue Devil scoring in a 3-0 win over Buffalo State. The junior recorded his second collegiate hat trick when he scored all three Fredonia goals. He now has seven goals and six assists on the season. Sheehan has registered 70 points (29 goals, 41 assists) thus far in his 60 career games over three seasons.

Binga stopped a career-high 47 saves in a 3-3 tie to previously unbeaten and 4th ranked nationally SUNY Oswego over the weekend. The freshman played all 65 minutes and had a .940 save percentage. The freshman has started all eight games and has posted a 4-3-1 record with a .926 save percentage and two shutouts.

Treacy led the Bears to a convincing 7-3 win over Morrisville State College over the weekend. The freshman netted two goals and adding one assist in the game. Treacy is the Bear's second highest scorer on the season with ten points on five goals and five assists. His five assists are tied for the team-lead.

November 13
SUNY Oswego sophomore forward Brendan McLaughlin (Brampton, ONT) has been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference Player of the week for his four goal, four assist performance over the weekend. SUNY Geneseo junior goalie Derek Jokic (Petersburg, ONT) and freshmen forward Sebastian Panetta (Ottawa, ONT) have received SUNYAC goalie and rookie of the week honors respectively.

McLaughlin scored twice and assisted on four others for the Lakers in an 8-0 win over SUNY Fredonia on Friday night for the second six-point output of his career. McLaughlin would score twice more on Saturday night, including the game-winner against Buffalo State in leading the Lakers to a 3-1 victory. The sophomore leads Oswego will 15 points on the season.

Jokic went 2-0 last week with a 1.50 GAA in wins over SUNY Plattsburgh and SUNY Potsdam. The junior made 70 saves while allowing just three goals to post a .959 save percentage in the two victories for the Blue Knights.

Panetta helped the Blue Knights on the offensive end as the rookie added an assist in the in a 4-1 win over SUNY Plattsburgh on Friday and scored the game-winner Saturday night in a 3-2 victory over Potsdam. The freshman has recorded three goals and three assists thus far in the
season.

November 6
SUNY Geneseo senior forward Mike MacDonald (New Glasgow, NS) has been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Player of the Week, while SUNY Potsdam senior Vince Cuccaro (Ottawa,ONT) has been named Goaltender of the Week. Buffalo State rookie, Paul Michael Rivest (Whitby, ONT) has been named the SUNYAC Rookie of the Week.

MacDonald scored four goals over the weekend leading SUNY Geneseo to a 1-1 record. He registered one goal in the 5-1 win over SUNY Cortland and then scored a hat trick with his three goals in a 5-4 loss to Oswego. The senior is tied for the league lead with six goals on the young season and has also added four assists for the Blue Knights.

Cuccaro recorded 49 saves in the two victories over the weekend. The senior came in relief to start the third period and stopped 14 shots to lead the Bears to a 3-2 win over Buffalo St. Cuccaro then started the following day and allowed only two goals and stopped 35 SUNY Fredonia shots to record the 3-2 win over the Blue Devils.

Rivest has started out in an impressive fashion this season. He scored two goals in the 7-4 upset victory over #12 ranked SUNY Plattsburgh over the weekend. The freshman now has three goals and has added an assist on the season for the Bengals.

October 30
SUNY Oswego sophomore forward Brendan McLaughlin (Brampton, ONT) and junior goalie Ryan Scott (Williamsville, NY) helped the Lakers to a weekend sweep of Elmira College and have been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Player of the Week and Goaltender of the Week respectively. SUNY Fredonia rookie, Matt McKeown (Niagara Falls, ONT) has been named the SUNYAC Rookie of the Week.

McLaughlin had a goal in each of the two wins over Elmira. He gave the Lakers (4-0) a 1-0 lead in game one which Oswego went on to post a 2-1 victory and scored the first goal of the game in a 5-2 victory at Oswego the following night. He added an assist on the fifth Laker goal in the third period.

Scott recorded 61 saves in the two victories and is off to a great start with a 1.75 GAA and a .933 save percentage playing in all four games so far this season for Oswego. All three Elmira goals on the weekend came on powerplay situations.

McKeown, a transfer from Cornell University, has made an immediate impact on the Fredonia squad with three goals in the first 14:13 of the game in an 8-2 victory over Marian College Friday night. He added an assist on Fredonia's second goal in a 2-2 tie with St. Norbert College on Saturday.

October 23
SUNY Cortland junior Barry McLaughlin (Bellport, NY) and freshman goalie Ben Binga (Rochester, NY) led the Red Dragons to a 2-0 record over the weekend and the SUNYAC Challenge championship. For their efforts, McLaughlin was named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Player of the Week and Binga was named the conference's Goaltender of the Week. Joining the Cortland duo for weekly honors is Geneseo freshman Sebastian Panetta (Ottawa, ONT) as the SUNYAC Rookie of the Week.

McLaughlin was involved in all three goals in a 3-0 win over SUNY Brockport in the season-opener. He scored two goals and had an assist in that game. He also assisted on the first goal in a 2-1 victory over Fredonia to finish the season-opening tournament with a 2-0 record.

Binga was named the SUNYAC Challenge MVP for his effort in the two Red Dragon victories. He posted the first Cortland shutout since January 2000 with the 3-0 victory over SUNY Brockport. He made 37 saves against the Golden Eagles and then stopped 45 shots in the 2-1 win over Fredonia.

Panetta helped the Ice Knights to a 2-0 start to the season with two goals and one assist as Geneseo beat Morrisville, 5-3 and St. Clair College, 7-4, in an exhibition game. One of his goals against St. Clair proved to be the game-winner and he assisted on the game winning goal against Morrisville.
