SUNYAC ANNOUNCES MEN'S ICE HOCKEY ALL-CONFERENCE TEAMS

Potsdam forward Chris Lee named Player of the Year

FREDONIA, NY - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has announced its 2003-04 Ice Hockey All-Conference teams, as well as the Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and Coach of the Year awards.

Potsdam senior forward Chris Lee (MacTier, ONT) is this year's SUNYAC Player of the Year. Lee led the Bears to a 9-4-1 conference record and first-round bye in the opening round of the SUNYAC playoffs. With 48 points (17g, 31a), Lee finished the regular season as the leading scorer in all of NCAA Division III hockey.

Potsdam's Myles Palliser (Lake Cowichan, BC) has been named SUNYAC Rookie of the Year. The freshman forward registered 15 goals and 25 assists this season for the Bears. Palliser currently leads not only the conference but the entire country in freshmen scoring.

Plattsburgh's Bob Emery earns Coach of the Year honors for the fourth time in his career after leading the Cardinals to an undefeated regular season (12-0-2) and home-ice throughout the conference playoffs. The Cards are currently ranked sixth in the latest national poll. Emery also received the Coach of the Year award in 1996, 1999, and 2002.
