The SUNYAC has announced that Cortland's Stacy Billings is the SUNYAC
Field Hockey Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 29.Billings, a sophomore
goalkeeper from Marathon, N.Y. posted two shutouts last week. The Red Dragons
defeated St. Lawrence 1-0, and then defeated The College of New Jersey 1-0 in
a matchup of the two top-ranked teams in the nation. Billings made six saves for
No. 1 Cortland in the victory over No. 2 TCNJ. It was the second time this season
that Billings has been recognized as SUNYAC Player of the Week, also garnering
the award on Oct. 2.

The
SUNYAC has announced that Cortland sophomore forward Kayla Chambers has been named
the SUNYAC Field Hockey Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 22, 2006.
Chambers continued her torrid scoring output by recording 10 points in two victories
by the No. 1 ranked team in the nation. Chambers, a native of Craryville and graduate
of Taconic Hills, had a goal and an assist in a 6-0 win over Morrisville. She
then scored three goals and assisted on another as the Red Dragons defeated Wilkes
College. Cortland is 15-0 on the year. Chambers leads the team with 16 goals,
five of which were game-winners, and also has six assists on the year for 38 points.
It is the second time this season that Chambers has been honored by the conference.

The SUNYAC has announced that Oswego's Beth Patterson has been named
Field Hockey Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 15. Patterson, a senior
from Lockport and graduate of Starpoint Central, had two goals and two assists
as the Lakers won twice last week. Patterson, a former defender that moved to
forward this year, scored a goal and assisted on two others as Oswego defeated
Wells College 6-0. She then scored the game-winning goal with 1:07 remaining in
regulation to lift Oswego to a 1-0 win over Rensselaer on Saturday

The SUNYAC has announced that senior midfielder Kelli Johnson of Cortland
is the Field Hockey Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 8. Johnson, a
native of Elma and graduate of Iroquois Central, had five points on a goal and
three assists as the Red Dragons won two games last week. She assisted on the
game-winning goal in both contests, a 5-1 victory over Oneonta and a 3-0 shutout
of Geneseo. By assisting on Cortland's first goal against Geneseo, Johnson became
the program's career assist leader. Cortland clinched its seventh consecutive
SUNYAC title and the Red Dragons are ranked third nationally.

The SUNYAC has announced that Cortland goalkeeper Stacy Billings has
been named the SUNYAC Field Hockey Player of the Week for the week ending Oct.
1, 2006. Billings, a sophomore from Marathon, has been stellar for the Red Dragons,
who are ranked fourth nationally with a 9-0 record. She made six saves in a 5-0
shutout win over Ithaca on Wednesday and then stopped three shots in a 2-0 win
over 13th-ranked Springfield on Sunday. One of the saves against Springfield came
on a penalty stroke in the first half when Cortland was leading 1-0. The Red Dragons
have posted five consecutive shutouts and haven't allowed a goal in 415 minutes.

The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has announced
that Oneonta's Kathryn Kubaryk and Geneseo's Brittany Frankel have been named
Co-Players of the Week, for the week ending Septmeber 25th. Both freshmen forwards
led their teams to 2-0 weeks, and each recorded 2 goals and an assist. Kathryn
Kubaryk (Warrensburg) recorded 2 goals and an assist against New Paltz in her
team's 7-1 victory. Kathryn followed with a score against Oswego in their 2-0
victory. Brittany Frankel (Pine Plains/Stissing Mtn.) had a goal against Brockport
in her team's 2-0 shutout, and recorded 2 goals and 1 assist against Hartwick,
in a 5-1 victory.

The
SUNYAC has announced Jeanine Tripepi as its Field Hockey Player of the Week for
the week ending Sept. 17. Tripepi scored all three goals for Geneseo, including
the game-winner with 2:31 left to play in a 3-2 win over Oneonta. A senior forward
from Baldwinsville and graduate of C.W. Baker High School, Tripepi needs just
two more goals to move into second place all-time in goal scoring at Geneseo.

Oneonta sophomore forward Somer Shuffield has been named SUNYAC Field
Hockey Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 10, 2006. Shuffield, who hails
from East Rochester, factored in all three Red Dragon goals as Oneonta defeated
Manhattanville 3-2 in overtime on Saturday. Shuffield had a goal to open the scoring
and then assisted on the game-tying goal with 2:39 remaining in the contest. Shuffield
then scored the game-winning goal 6:16 into overtime.

Cortland's Kayla Chambers has been named the first SUNYAC Field Hockey
Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday. Chambers, a sophomore
forward from Craryville and graduate of Taconic Hills, helped the Red Dragons
score nine goals over the weekend in a pair of victories. Cortland defeated Nazareth
4-0 on Sept. 1 and Chambers scored two goals, including the game-winner, and added
an assist. She followed up that performance with a goal at Johns Hopkins on Sunday.
Her tally with 21 minutes remaining in the contest knotted the score 3-3, and
Cortland went on to win the game 5-4.
