Cortland Wins Fifth
Consecutive SUNYAC Field Hockey Championship
FREDONIA, N.Y. - Cortland clinched its fifth straight SUNYAC Championship
with a 1-0 win over New Paltz on Friday.
The nationally fourth-ranked Red Dragons are 12-1 overall. Their only loss
came in their second conference game of the season against Brockport, 3-2,
in overtime. The Eagles broke Cortland's 21-game conference winning streak
started in 2000. Cortland finished 4-1 in SUNYAC play, outscoring its
opponents 11-4 in league contests.
