Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Head Coach will be responsible for all aspects of the Track & Field and Cross Country programs, including but not limited to: - Recruitment of Assistant Coaches. The Head Coach effectively communicates and demonstrates collegiality in partnering with the campus community as well as department staff. Serves on committees and attends campus events as required. May supervise additional staff and be assigned additional responsibilities as required. This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates must possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills, as well as a commitment to the academic mission of SUNY Fredonia and a competitive Division III program. Bachelor's degree with prior coaching and recruiting experience at the collegiate or comparable level required, Master's degree preferred. Assistant Women's Basketball Coach Description of Duties: Responsible for assisting the
head women's basketball coach in all aspects of coaching a highly-competitive
NCAA Division III women's basketball program, including practice and
game preparation, skill development, scouting, and fundraising, with
particular importance placed on supervision, recruitment, and providing
leadership for quality student-athletes. Candidates are expected to
represent the women's basketball program and the athletic department
in a professional, dignified, and positive manner at all times, and
in turn expect the same manner of behavior from team members.
