The College at Brockport, State University of New York Director of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Primary Responsibilities

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs, the Director provides vision, coordination and oversight for the College at Brockport's broad and competitive NCAA Division III Intercollegiate Athletics program where student success and student learning is paramount. Primary responsibilities include the following:

-Provide leadership and administrative direction for 23 intercollegiate sports with over 600 student athletes.
-Develop a strategic vision for the department
-Advance and execute fundraising, friend raising and promotions and marketing activities
-Develop and manage a $3,000,000 budget that includes revenues from state allocations, student fees, generated revenue and donations
-Supervise 45 full and part-time coaches, administrative and support staff, over 50 volunteers and over 50 student employees.
-Provide oversight of departmental compliance with NCAA and conference rules and state and federal laws
-Work collaboratively with the Director of Recreational Services and the Chair of the Kinesiology, Sport Science & Physical Education Department to manage the Tuttle Complex and related sports facilities.
-Serves as a member of the Division of Enrollment Management & Student Affairs Directors' Team and represents the Division on committees and task forces and participates in professional development within the Division.

Required Qualifications

-Master's Degree in Athletics Administration or a field that is affiliated with job duties.
-5 years experience working on college level administration, including supervision of full-time employees and may include dual responsibilities in coaching and administrative duties in athletics.
-Demonstrated experience in: budget development and management; facilities operations or management; fundraising achievements. Commitment to the philosophies of NCAA Division III Athletics and effective interpersonal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
-10 years experience working in college level athletic administration gaining progressively more and broader responsibilities.
-College coaching experience
-Working knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and policies.

Head Coach of Track & Field and Cross Country

SUNY Fredonia is recruiting for a Head Coach of Track & Field and Cross Country.

Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Head Coach will be responsible for all aspects of the Track & Field and Cross Country programs, including but not limited to:

- Recruitment of Assistant Coaches.
- Recruitment of qualified student-athletes.
- Practice planning and organization.
- Development and supervision of Assistant Coaches.
- Counseling of student-athletes.
- Meet management.
- Scheduling.
- Travel Arrangements.
- Compliance with NCAA and SUNYAC regulations.

The Head Coach effectively communicates and demonstrates collegiality in partnering with the campus community as well as department staff. Serves on committees and attends campus events as required. May supervise additional staff and be assigned additional responsibilities as required.

This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates must possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills, as well as a commitment to the academic mission of SUNY Fredonia and a competitive Division III program. Bachelor's degree with prior coaching and recruiting experience at the collegiate or comparable level required, Master's degree preferred. Successful candidate must be well-versed in all areas of track and field and possess expertise in at least one of the following event groups: distance/middle distance; sprints and hurdles; jumps; throws; or vaulting.

Staff Assistant/Assistant Athletic Trainer Dept. of Intercollegiate Athletics

Bacheloršs degree in Athletic Training or related degree required, Masteršs degree preferred; NATA Certification required, New York State Certification eligible. Willingness and ability to assist with providing athletic training services to 19 intercollegiate athletic teams, referrals from the college health center, and supervise athletic training students in our CAATE accredited education program; interest in and ability to work with a culturally diverse population; ability to work collegially with staff, faculty and administration.

Description of Duties: Responsible for assisting the head women's basketball coach in all aspects of coaching a highly-competitive NCAA Division III women's basketball program, including practice and game preparation, skill development, scouting, and fundraising, with particular importance placed on supervision, recruitment, and providing leadership for quality student-athletes. Candidates are expected to represent the women's basketball program and the athletic department in a professional, dignified, and positive manner at all times, and in turn expect the same manner of behavior from team members.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; successful coaching and/or playing experience. Demonstrated ability to work with a culturally diverse population.
