WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
Elizabeth Montgomery (Glenmont/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake), Geneseo junior
Montgomery won the individual crown at the NYSCTC meet by racing to a time of 16:57 over five kilometers to lead Geneseo to their 11th NYSCTC team championship.

MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
Nate Lockett (Lansing/Lansing), Geneseo junior

Lockett placed fifth individually in a time of 25:36 over eight kilometers to lead Geneseo to their third all-time NYSCTC team title.

WOMEN
Danielle Harmon (Pearl River/Pearl River), New Paltz freshman

Harmon finished third overall in the CCOC meet this weekend in Geneva with a personal best time of 19:41, topping her old best by 55 seconds. She led the Hawks to a third-place finish and earned first team Cross Country Only Conference recognition along with CCOC Rookie of the Year honors.

Austin Townsley (Horseheads/Horseheads), SUNYIT freshman
Townsley led the Wildcats to a second-place finish at the CCOC Championships in Geneva with an eight-place finish in the 8-kilometer run. Townsley ended the race with a personal best time of 27:52.00, shaving nearly a minute off his finishing time from last weekend's SUNYAC Championships.

Liz Montgomery (Glenville/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake), Geneseo junior

Montgomery on the women's race at the SUNYAC Cross Country Championships, finishing the 5,000-meter course in 21:54.

MEN
Justin Wager (Guilderland/Guilderland), Cortland sophomore
Wager won the men's race at the SUNYAC Cross Country Championships in Potsdam, finishing the 8,000-meter course in 25:50.8.

WOMEN
Lisa Holt (Phoenix/John C. Birdlebough), Cortland sophomore
Holt was Cortland's top runner at the Penn State National Invitational on Friday. She finished 122nd out of 278 runners with a time of 23:23 over 6,000 meters.
The lone Div. III school in the race, Cortland tied for 20th out of 25 schools.

MEN
Shamus Nally (Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake), Cortland junior

Nally finished sixth overall and fifth among collegiate entries in a field of 222 runners at the Penn State National Invitational on Friday. His time of 26:29 over 5.2 miles was just 13 seconds off the lead. Nally has earned Runner of the Week honors twice.

Cortland, the only Div. III team in the field, placed sixth in the team standings and was just seven points away from third place. Ranked fifth nationally in Div. III, Cortland defeated Cornell, Wake Forest, George Mason, Pittsburgh and Syracuse, among others, at the race.

WOMEN
Toni Wiszowaty (Shirley/William Floyd), Plattsburgh senior
Wiszowaty was the first collegiate runner across the finish line at the Saint Lawrence University/Ronald C. Hoffman Invitational on Oct. 6, with a time of 22:58 on the 6-kilometer course. She has received the Runner of the Week honor three times this season.

At the Hoffman Invite, the Plattsburgh women earned their second team win of the season, defeating a field of six schools.

Mike Heymann (Tully/Tully), Plattsburgh freshman

Heymann finished second overall at the Ronald C. Hoffman Invitational hosted by Saint Lawrence University on Oct. 6. His 8-kilometer time was 26:20, which was just 11 seconds shy off the winning pace. Heymann has been the team's top finisher in the last four meets. Plattsburgh was third out of seven teams.

Liz Montgomery (Glenville/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake), Geneseo junior

Montgomery dominated the field with a winning time of 21:18 over six kilometers to lead No. 5 Geneseo to the team title and a perfect team score of 15 at the 27th Annual Geneseo Invitational.

MEN
Shamus Nally (Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills-Ballstron Lake), Cortland junior

Shamus finished 30th out of 270 runners and was the third Div. III finisher at the Lehigh University Paul Short Invitational on Sept. 28. He covered the 8,000-meter course in 24:51.

Cortland finished ninth overall and was the top Div. III school in the Brown Division race. The Red Dragons, ranked fourth in Div. III, defeated 25 Div. I schools, including UMass, Harvard and Texas Tech, along with five ranked Div. III schools.

Toni Wiszowaty (Shirley/William Floyd), Plattsburgh senior

Wiszowaty garners Runner of the Week honors for the second time this season, claiming the individual title at the Williams College Purple Valley 6K Classic in a time of 21:52.

Plattsburgh, ranked 20th nationally in Division III, finished just two points shy of top-rated Amherst in the team standing, but defeated several other ranked opponents, including defending NCAA Division III champion and fourth-ranked Williams

Christopher Reich (Montauk/East Hampton), Oswego senior

Reich was the top Laker finisher, placing fifth of 126 runners in a personal best time of 26:49, at the Highlander Invitational at Houghton College on Sept. 22. The senior harrier helped lead the men's team to a third-place finish in a field of 11.

September 17
WOMEN

Amberlyn Mattice (Solvay/Solvay), Oneonta sophomore
Mattice captured the women's title at the Oneonta State Airfield Invitational, finishing the 4,500-meter course in 17:08, a full 30 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. The individual title was Mattice's first of the year and her first as a Red Dragon. Mattice's time was also over a minute faster than she ran the same course two weeks ago when Oneonta hosted the Early Bird Invitational. Mattice has been the Red Dragons top runner in each of their three meets this season.

Seth DuBois (Altamont/Guilderland), Cortland sophomore

DuBois finished first in a field of 106 runners at the Oneonta Airfield Invitational with a time of 19:07 over 6,000 meters. Cortland, ranked fourth nationally in Div. III, finished first out of eight teams at the meet.

WOMEN
Meghan Nolan (Liverpool/Liverpool), Geneseo senior

Nolan paced Geneseo to a first-place finish at the Oswego Invitational on Sept. 8, claiming the individual crown with a time of 18:12 over the 5K course. The Knight women won meet's team title for the sixth straight year.

MEN
Jesse Berube (Putnam Station/Ticonderoga), Geneseo sophomore

Berube led the Knights to their sixth-straight team championship at the Oswego Invitational by winning his first collegiate cross country race, completing the 8K course in a time of 26:06.

September 3
WOMEN

Toni Wiszowaty (Shirley/William Floyd), Plattsburgh senior
Wiszowaty led Plattsburgh to a first-place finish in its own four-team classic on Sept. 1 as she claimed the individual championship. The All-American navigated the 5K course in 18:26 to extend her regular season meet winning streak to three meets dating back to last season. She has also won six of her last 10 starts.

MEN
Ryan O'Connor (East Aurora/East Aurora), Geneseo freshman

O'Connor placed second of 87 runners in his first collegiate race at the Buffalo State Daniel Walker Memorial Invitational. The rookie completed the 8K course in a time of 25:53 to help the Knights place second of six teams at the meet.
