Geneseo Wins 2002 SUNYAC Men’s Cross Country Championship

 

FREDONIA, NY - The Knights made it three in a row as they won this year’s State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Men’s Cross Country Championship held Saturday at Lake Erie State Park. 

            Geneseo finished the team scoring with 60 points and was led by second-place finisher, Jon Beck and sixth-place finisher, Matt Young.  Brockport, under the direction of first-year head coach and 2002 Coach of the Year, Mark Krueger, finished second with 86 points.  They had two runners in the top ten, with fourth-place finisher, Dave Bolen and Scott Austin, who finished seventh. 

            Plattsburgh placed third in team scoring with 97 points and was led by the 2002 SUNYAC Champion, Jay Wells.
