Weber and Dougher share
Pitcher of the Week honors after leading their respective teams to key wins last
week.
In Dougher's only start last week he threw a complete game, three-hit
shutout in a 3-0 victory against Oneonta State. In the game he struck out nine
while walking only one in helping Cortland win the first game of a doubleheader.
Weber
started two games last week and threw two complete games in recording a pair of
wins. In his first start of the week he struck out eight and allowed only one
run in helping Oneonta earn a split with Cortland. In his second outing he struck
out six in recording a four-hit shutout against Union College.

Galutz
earns the Player of the Week honor for the second time this spring after helping
to lead Oneonta to a 4-1 record in the five games he started last week. For the
week he hit .600 (9-15) and collected 22 total bases for a slugging percentage
of 1.467. Of his nine hits, seven were for
extra bases including three home
runs. He drove in a team-high eight runs for the week while scoring five runs.

Matt Dahlin - Plattsburgh State

Dahlin was credited with two victories during the
Cardinals 4-0 week. On the week he posted a 2.45 ERA in 11 innings of work as
a starter. In a 10-3 victory over Fredonia, Dahlin started and pitched five innings
while allowing four hits and no walks. He also picked up a victory against Clarkson
throwing six innings while allowing six hits and striking out five.

Jim Kunkemoeller - Fredonia
Sophomore - (West Seneca,
NY/St. Francis)
Kunkemoeller hit .500 (11-22) for the week. In a doubleheader
sweep of Oswego he was 7-8 at the plate with two home runs, two doubles and six
RBI. In SUNYAC play he finished the week hitting .600 over four games with eight
runs scored.

Dan Hoffman

Hoffman posted an 1.64 ERA
in two appearances with five strike outs in 11 innings of work. On the week he
was 1-0 while allowing two runs and five hits. In the first game of a SUNYAC doubleheader
against Oneonta, Hoffman went the distance allowing four hits in the complete
game victory. On the season Hoffman is 5-0 with a 1.63 ERA and 24 strikeouts.

Tim Wilson - Brockport
Senior Shortstop, (Long Beach/Long
Beach)
Wilson batted .455 on the week going 10-22 in six games with seven runs
scored, four doubles, six RBI and a homerun. On the bases he was a perfect 2-2
in stolen base attempts while also laying down two SAC bunts at the plate. Wilson's
performance at the plate helped Brockport to a 6-0 week.

Erik Weber - Oneonta
Junior,
(Bainbridge/BGA))
Weber flirted with a no-hitter against Brockport before leaving
after one out in the bottom of the ninth this past Saturday. In the game he allowed
no hits while striking out eight Golden Eagles in a 5-2 win. Weber, who picked
up his fourth win of the season, threw 129 pitches before giving way to the bullpen.

Jim Basnight - Cortland
Senior, (East Norwich/St. Dominic)
Basnight
hit .583 last week in helping to lead the Red Dragons to a 4-1 week that included
a doubleheader sweep of Plattsburgh this past Sunday. He scored five runs and
drove in four runs while drawing six walks and stealing two bases.

Adam Harendza - Oswego

Harendza threw a complete game against Cortland on Sunday, which
the Lakers ended up winning 3-2 with two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning.
In the game he allowed eight hits and two earned runs while striking out four
batters.
Player of the Week
Brandon Galutz - Oneonta
Junior,
Outfielder (Cortland)
Galutz helped lead the Red Dragons to a 5-0 week as that
included back-to-back doubleheader sweeps of SUNYIT and New Paltz to start the
conference schedule 4-0. For the week Galutz hit .476 going 10-21 at the plate
with a double and home run for a .667 slugging percentage. He also picked up five
RBIs on the week while finishing the week with a .522 on base percentage.

Jeff Stith - New Paltz
Sophomore,
(Selden, NY/Newfield H.S.)
Stith picked up two victories in two starts last
week throwing 13 innings of scoreless baseball while only allowing five hits and
seven walks to go with 23 strikeouts. Against Earlham on March 20th he pitched
6 innings, allowed three hits and four walks while striking out 12. He then threw
a complete game two-hit shutout against SUNY-Purchase for his second victory of
the week. In that game he struck out 11 and allowed just three base-on-balls.
Stith
is 3-0 on the season while New Paltz is currently 11-7 overall.
Player
of the Week
John DeKams - New Paltz
Junior, (Kings Park, NY/King
Park)
John batted .524 this week (11-21) while collecting four doubles to raise
his slugging percentage to .721 on the year. He totaled 10 RBI on the week including
the game-tying RBI in a 7-6 victory over Grinnell College on March 23rd to push
the game to extra innings. In a 5-1 victory over Ealrham, DeKams was 2-4 with
a double and four RBI. He finished up the week going a combined 5-6 in the Hawks
doubleheader against SUNY Purchase with three doubles, four RBI and a walk. For
the week DeKams had a .714 slugging percentage and a .545 on-base percentage while
also scoring six runs.

Hoffman
earns selection as the Pitcher of the Week after figuring prominently in four
of the eight wins that the Cardinals picked up on its spring trip to Florida last
week. In his four appearances, two as a starter, he recorded two wins and two
saves. In 18 innings he allowed 16 hits and three earned runs while striking out
nine batters.
Player of the week
Anthony Shallo-Brockport

Shallo earns Player of the Week honors after
hitting .441 overall last week with a team-leading 15 hits in nine games. He recorded
two doubles, one triple and drove in 10 runs while also scoring nine times.
