Jeff Cote of SUNY New Paltz was named National Hitter of the Week.
The NCBWA reviews candidates from Division III conferences each week
and names winners each Tuesday throughout the season.
Cote' hit .625 (15-for-24) with four doubles, a triple, a homerun,
13 RBIs,
10 runs and a slugging percentage of 1.000 in the Hawks¹ 2-3-1
week. In an
11-8 victory over Mount St. Mary (N.Y.), Cote¹ went 4-for-4 and
hit for the cycle with four runs and five RBI. In an 11-2 win over
SUNYIT, he went 3-for-4 with three RBI and three runs scored. Cote¹
leads the team with a .467 average, three triples and a .787 slugging
percentage. He also was selected Hitter of the Week by the State University
of New York Athletic Conference.
